I'd sort of like to get a flyer for my Chaos marines, but I really don't like the design of the Heldrake. It just doesn't fit in. I'm wondering if it's possible to convert one into something that better resembles a proper jet fighter? And, I'm really wondering, how is it that nobody has converted one into King Ghidorah? That's gotta be one of the most obvious conversions and nobody's done it.

I've seen several conversions for Heldrakes around.
The one I like the most is where the wings are pointed forward to, as you state, resemble a jet.

It can be done, certainly, I would probably change the head though if you were going to try it. Replace it with a cockpit of some kind? *shrug*

I'm just suggesting it as a base to start off with, I'm sure you could work something around it, using your imagination.

Ah! Those are really cool! I can see a lot of potential for that build. Maybe its just me, but I see the beginnings of a Vic Viper in there with those setups. Hmm, replace the head unit with a nosecone of some sort, maybe a chopped up Eldar Jetbike, put the slightly shorter wings on it going horizontal and the smaller fins vertically on the back... yeah, I bet it'd work. Now if I just had a Heldrake or three to customize.
