Not sure how many people here game during the era of the Tudors but The Assault Group is running a KS to fund their miniature line with over 40 packs of units that equates to 130 infantry models and 50 cavalry

Who are TAG, and what is your Tudor-Valois-Habsburg range?

The Assault Group (TAG), are an established manufacturer of 28mm white metal miniatures which are used by gamers, or painted for pleasure. Over the last seven years we have been working on a range of miniatures for the period 1500-1650 commonly called The Renaissance, at present this range alone has over a 1200 foot soldiers and almost 500 mounted miniatures, covering the conflicts of this period on three continents. The new Tudor-Valois range covers the wars between England and France in the mid-16th Century; it will include at least 130 new infantry miniatures and 50 new cavalry miniatures, as well as a couple of new artillery Ordinance pieces.

really neat to see TAG still around. They have some great cops and robbers.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Oh these are pretty damn nice and I'm barely holding back.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Hmm funding for this has been a bit slow recently

In other news theres the goals (bit doubtful the higher ones will ever get reached). And some more painted minis
Goals

Funding Goal £20,000

When we reach £20,000 we will make the whole English Tudor range of 28mm miniatures of about 100 different infantry miniatures and 30 new Cavalry miniatures plus whatever special miniatures are requested by our Backers. In addition we'll supply metal Pike to all those that want them for their Pikemen miniatures.

Stretch 1) £25,000

At the £25,000 pledge level we will make custom dice for the Tudor dice game, Mia,

The rules will be printed and sent with the 2d6 enabling play of this authentic Tudor game of cunning and deception. One set of dice will be added to all Pledges at the £100 level or over.

Stretch 2) £30,000

At the £30,000 level we will release our whole Valois French range of miniatures, another 85 French and Swiss infantrymen and 25+ mounted miniatures, suitable for the period 1535 through to 1560. Plus we will add Character pledges similar to those at the £75, £200 and £300 levels in the English range.

Stretch 3) £35,00

At the £35,000 level we will work with our media partner, Perchpole Media, to add User-Groups to our website. Being a member of the User-Group will allow privileges including, posting images and articles on the main site, along with chat boxes for instant feedback on our content. The User-Groups will be the first place you'll be able to get all the TAG News, fast!

Also membership will bring the benefit of continued FREE POSTAGE for 2 years on all your TAG orders. when our free shipping policy changes this summer. The TAG User-Groups will be used as a means to play-test the ‘beta’ version of the Ten of War rule set and organize meetings or tournaments. Membership of the User-Groups will be extended free to all those who pledge £250 or over.

Stretch 4) £40,000

At this point we will carry out a survey to ascertain which nation of the mid-sixteenth century our backers would like to see next. Choices will be between Germans (Landsknechts, Reiter, Burgundians and City Militias), Scots (Lowland pikemen and Highlanders) or Irish (Kerns, Gallowglass and Nobles). We’ll make the most popular nation and add Character pledges similar to those at the £75, £200 and £300 levels in the English range.

Stretch 5) £45,000

Flags, at this level we will commission the nice folks at Flags of War to design and print about half a dozen full colour flags of the period for all the Nations covered by our Kickstarter.

These flags will be available for sale, but will also be added to all pledges of £30 or over (one per unit)

Stretch 6) £50,000

Another survey of the two remaining Nations which didn’t win the Poll at Stretch Level 4) We’ll make this army in full and release it along with character pledge levels similar to those at the £75, £200 and £300 levels in the English and French ranges.

Stretch 7) £60,000

We’ll make the final army of the period. We’ll make this army in full and release it after the winners of Polls 1 and 2. Plus we’ll add Character pledges similar to those at the £75, £200 and £300 levels in the other ranges.

I hope I’ve given gamers and collectors something to get their teeth into, and covered a whole new period of Renaissance gaming in a complete and meaningful way, opening up the possibilities offered up by this fascinating period of history.
