I'm a little green in this area, basically i'm trying to source the following;

1. A good sculptor
2. An idea/suggestion/discussion leading to deciding on WHAT to have made as a capstone piece to a 50k Eldar Warhost. This would be a one of a kind unique character to the army.

This army has alot of models in it (to the tune of almost 1100 miniatures) dating back to Rogue Trader. It is by no means the largest Eldar Warhost out there (I know of two Warhosts - 60k and 80k), but it has had a lot of love put into it from customised dice/bags, to Warhost Org charts (WIP) and a lot of customised bits/pieces.

I'm torn between a Farseer or an Autarch - maybe even a Voidseer or Corsair Prince. I have buckets of Jetbikes and the army is almost fully mechanised (talking about 30 Serpents and well over a dozen Falcons/Prisms/Spinners/etc). The thought of a completely fresh Jetbike sculpt with a commander model of sorts sounds enticing as well. The thought of a Warp Spider Phoenix Lord was an option, yet given the new Codex is due out end of this year, I didn't want to jump the gun there.

I could be an interesting project... Once you settle on what you want, a model can be planned and made. I assume you would just want the model made, you would do the painting?

If it were me I would get a custom Avatar sized like one of the FW ones, but with a distinct pose and iconography.

The Avatar model is an interesting suggestion, however the cost of having someone sculpt that up might be more than my wallet can handle.

Does anyone know of a sculptor (perhaps even an ex-gw staffer) who I could commission to work on such a project?

As for the painting, I would have someone do that as well - honestly if its a one off piece I want the painting to reflect that showcase aspect as well. Given the rest of my army is destined for the display case it is fitting.

In order of preference, these are the options i'm considering;

1. Jetbike based Farseer (with customised Jetbike)
2. Jetbike Voidseer (as above)
3. Jetbike Autarch
4. Farseer on foot
5. Autarch on foot
6. Pathfinder special character? - Actually this could be interesting...

I could do the modeling and painting, what were you looking for budget wise? I work full time at a metal casting company as a master model maker with 40k being what I tend towards working on in my free time. Feel free to PM me if interested and we can hash out the details.
