Yeah, I need some more help here. This is probably pretty simple though. I'm converting a Terminator Chaos Lord into a proxy for Typhus and I've got pretty much everything covered except the Manreaper. Do any of GW's other lines have scythes that would be the appropriate size for a Terminator? And this isn't quite so necessary, but are there any Terminator sized pointing hands that aren't Power Fists?

DE Talos pain engine (and other DE kits) have plenty of proper sized bits you can use for the blade and the spiky part under it. Dunno about the handle or the pointing hand though.

There's some giant scythe shaped point bits on the Defiler, is there not? Which would also be a good buy for a Chaos army! Or, just make one from plasticard and embellish it with greenstuff.

The only pointing terminator hand I'm aware of is the one on the Space Marine terminator Liberian. I'm not 100% sure but the grey knight kit may have one too?

There are some scythes in the Vampire Counts Zombies box. Dunno whether they would be the right size for a termie but it would be worth a look.

There's always lopping off a tyranid scything talon at the base, gaunt talons are pretty good, or warrior talons if you want a really big scythe. They have a more organic feel to them which seems like it would fit in decently well with typhus/nurgle. After that all you need is a tube or rod for the shaft, greenstuff or the like to embellish that.

The Empire wizard box comes with a scythe head. True it's covered in roses, but just make them look diseased and withered

I've thought about the Tyranid scything talons, but they're a bit too organic looking. I know the Manreaper is supposed to be a Daemon weapon, but I'd like it to look like a proper scythe. The Talos Pain Engine's melee blade actually looks like a pretty good choice, but I'm not seeing too many on Ebay. Only one and it's in a lot with the rest of the arms. I also saw the Eldar Raider blade rudder. I'm not sure if that's too big, but it looks like a good alternative. Anyone know just how big that is?

Mike Mee, you were actually correct, the Grey Knights Terminator set does actually have a pointing hand. Thanks for that. I'll definitely see if I can track one down.

You also might consider looking for a stave, and then just making the scythe blade out of stryene. It's not too hard, it's a simple shape. You can chop up a Ork Boy shoota for some space gubbins to put on it I imagine, or shave them off other chaos bits.

I've got a plan for what sort of details it'll have. I'm going to slice a spare Catachan face off and with the help of some Green Stuff, I'm going to make it into a soul stuck in the blade.

That sounds very promising, I can't wait to see it.

You may want to use instant mold, press in the catachan face, and then use greenstuff to make a press mold of the catachan's face. Then, while it's still soft, pull the greenstuff recast face a little from the top and bottom to distort it into a scream.

I think this scythe might help except for the attached hands to the weapon... but if you arent afraid of using greenstuff and a little cutting of the model, it could work.
