I'm thinking of making a Spider Rider themed army for WHFB and would like to use Mangler Squigs, but want to convert some spider looking ones. I was thinking of using Chaos Spawn bodies and then spider limbs, etc to finish them off. Does anyone know if Spawn and Mangler Squig bodies are similar in size?

Those mangler squigs are huge, the spawnare specks compared to them.

Do you know how tall each happens to be? I just need the height of one mangler squig, not the two stacked.

About 2 inches tall each.

The mangler squigs are also grossly oversized for what they are supposed to be (as well as looking nothing at all like any of the other squigs---Thanks, Trish!).

Snarsnik's companion is a giant (or great) cave squig, and he's nowhere near that size. The giant cave squig that a goblin rides is also not nearly that big. Using something smaller should be fine, so long as it's markedly bigger than regular squigs.

OK. I think it will work then. I'm going to get some small spiders for my squigs. Then I've got some spider legs and conversion ideas for the mangler squigs. No to start putting it all together.
