There are metallic spray paints in a chrome effect.

I don't know what it would be called in the US, though and the only places I know where to get it are in Australia - so that's not much help.

My brother had a pot of chrome paint that he used to use on his model cars. I think it was made by Revell. Possibly Tamiya.

Seconded. Alclad Black primer, bright chrome, and make sure you use their laquer too. as to the eyes, after the whole thing is chrome, use Tamiya Transparent red!

The eyes can be done with just about anything. Any kind of red wash or glaze can do that without a problem.

No. I did at one stage have some chrome painted necrons. Only mine were done by a mate at his work (professional airbrusher) so I only have marginal info on it.

I've been chromedog longer than necrons have had a proper army list.

You're not going to get the same kind of light reflection as no miniature paints can imitate the same kind of diffusion; as far as I know no one makes a chrome brush paint, so spray-on is your best bet.

If you use tape/blutac/darkened afterwards you could have control over what is chrome and what isn't.
