On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Hey guys,

Just a very quick post asking if anyone knows if it is possible to a) get metal Goblin Spitters for KoW and b ) whether these actually ever existed?! (I'm sure I saw them previously, although it may have been the metal, spear carrying goblins)

Reason being the plastic ones are pretty terrible - now I own a ton of Mantic stuff, most of it is great, and I've been informed that those plastic goblin archers went to a plastic sprue maker that wasn't used previously, nor will be used again. In any case, I figured if I could get some metal ones, they could be used for front ranks, while their malformed and badly made cousins hide in the back ranks behind them?

So is anyone aware of anywhere I can buy the metal ones from, that's if they even exist?!

I honestly don't remember, but I went and checked out the thread on the Mantic forum from when the plastic ones were first announced and there's no mention of them replacing metal versions, so I would guess no.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

No, there never were metal spitters.

You can however still buy metal spearmen, and the bow arms from the spitters work with those models... that's as close as you can get to all-metal though.

The plastic spitters aren't that bad, really, as long as you aren't planning to paint one for your Golden Demon entry. I found the annoying details on the plastics to be no less annoying on the metal spearmen, and you can't really see them when you put them in a block of 20.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog
