Numberless Necron Warrior

As I've gotten more playtime in and a few more units things have opened up a bit. I'd like to present my "Take all comers" list - it isn't designed to destroy any particular build but instead is meant to be able to handle a myriad of threats and hold it's ground.

Destroyer Lord w/ Scythe/Weave/Scarabs + 6x Wraiths
Nemesor Zandrek + 10x Necron Immortals

5x Deathmarks + Despairtek w/ Veil

5x Warriors + Night Scythe + Stormtek
5x Warriors + Night Scythe + Stormtek
5x Warriors

3x Scarabs

2x A. Barge w/Tesla
1x Monoltih

I'd try and toss in another Night Scythe if I could but I simply don't own one currently. This list would be a tad different if I did as I would prefer to run 3 of them.

It is a rather straightforward list with a few smarmy tricks up it's sleeve. Obviously we have a good threat from the DLord and his Wraiths to either play assault or counter attack - I don't take Coils as in my meta the Wraiths are usually down to only 3-4 models by the time they reach the enemy. Nemesor hangs out with his Immortals and uses his Tactics - usually Tank Hunters on an A. Barge or Stealth on whatever needs it. If I could hide the Monolith to get an obscure save from some terrain and Stealth it'll allow that thing to live for quite some time. Deathmarks with the Despairtek are fairly obvious. They will be my strike force against whatever large threat they field. The Warriors in the Scythes are there for scoring and secondly they will drop out and fry whatever vehicles are nearby. The odd 5x Warrior squad is for walking onto the field and taking any board edge objectives - if it is a kill points game I'd keep them well hidden. Scarabs are a nice speedbump and just the three of them can soak up a charge or take out a vehicle. A. Barges are good for anti-air for the most part. Giving them Tank Hunters is awesome - fries almost anything. Last but not least we have the Monolith. I've debated this thing for awhile and thought about taking a Doomsday Ark or a Doom Scythe but instead I prefer to go with the Monolith.

Why?
LoS blocking, ability to teleport units to it, suck units into it, and it has a nice big pieplate up top that is STR 8 AP 3 for eating MEQ. I can also use it to block LoS to my troops as I've got a very low troop count and will mostly be keeping them hidden on the backfield until it's objective capturing time.

Comments? Critiques?

I am a fan of Dlord and wraith combo, I will assume you have 3 of them with whipcoils. Just remember to use the jump on your assault if you can, and if you plan to make that move, make sure you have Nemesor give them FC. That gives the DLord ID str 8 with his scythe, which is wreck city on just about anything you fight. (ID on MEQ units)

With the deathmarks, I prefer to put them in a scythe since they are a hunter unit. I have used veil a few times and to be honest only about 30% of the time did I get to use the unit close to the the way I wanted. Bring them in with the scythe, drop them off still move 6 and be face to face with what ever you are hunting. HtH and full template in the face plus rapid fire from the DM's themselves. Most people are going to shoot that unit the second they know your hunting with it. If its on the table you would have to hide it and hope your DS puts you close enough to use the template to full extent.

I am not a fan of 5man warrior squads, they are just to easy to kill, I can't say I have ever held an objective with a small warrior squad by themselves unless I dropped them off on the last turn.

As for the monolith, I don't tend to bring them unless I'm running closer to a 2k point game. There is just to much that can harm it for my taste. If I do bring it, I bring it with a skyshield landing pad, start it with the shields up on the edge of my deployment zone. It gives it a 4+ invul save which makes it much harder to kill.

I would drop it for an ark.. load it up with the warriors.

Final thoughts: most people will come after the anni barges and be trying to dodge your wraiths too. If they don't the anni will light them up. If you drop the mono you can pick up an ark fill it with warriors and move a scythe to the DM unit. I would either drop veil.. or change one of the stormteks to a despairtek w/veil and give it to Nemesor. This allows him to "get away" at will. ( give his own unit hit and run, break CC if your losing and DS away) If you drop the scarabs too ( I'm not a fan of them if they are not in a full group. you meat a helchicken or anything with lots of fire can kill a few of them way before they ever tarpit anything) it will free up 245pts allows you to add ark and put the 5man in there and expand the other 5man to a 10man and add a Nlord with res orb.. this lets you march up the center with the AB on your flanks. 4+ on your RP and repair barge bringing back lost units. Still leaves you a 5m in scythe with stormtek to pop pesky vehicles.

I agree. 5 man warrior squads are just too fragile. On top of that, you only have three of them. Since so many missions are objective based, I would suggest dropping the monolith and using the points to add 15 more warriors.
