Humanity is at war. An alien alliance named 'the Covenant' seeks to annihilate us. Millions have died over the years. And now, they have found Reach, 'humanity's fortress among the stars', and perhaps the only thing that stands between them and Earth. Their fleet is in battle with ours. They are winning. They've mafde planetfall, and are slaughtering innocent civilians.
The evacuation of New Alexandria has begun. We must hurry. Before they burn it from orbit, like they did on other planets. We may not fail.

When the Covenant attacked that was when Sam's dream came true and he saw Spartan warriors but it came into with a price: Dropping them into the hottest fire fights this forced him to wear Armour and arm himself, now he is ready for anything.

Nathan looked out of the Pelican's rear. He watched the city of New Alexandria.
'Bloody big amount of smoke.'
He stepped back, and walked towards the cockpit.
'Pilot, get me to the city centre now.'
'Aye sir.'
He looked at the squad in the troop compartment. Three men, not counting himself, each one of them an ODST.
'Get ready boys. We're going in, just about..'
The Pelican started descending.
'...Now.'
All of them jumped up, ready to get out of the Pelican as fast as possible. It landed on one of the streets of New Alexandria.
Immediately, all of them ran out, and the Pelican returned to the sky, and back to the fleet.
The street was clear of enemies.
'All clear.'

On the bridge of the destroyer the seventh circle, Captain Scholinson looked onto his displays in disgust. "We're losing the centre of our military power, and there's nothing we can do about it..." he muttered.
"Sir, the pelican that transported (thenoobbomb(haven't got your details)) has landed. he reports heavy fighting in the city centre"
"get him on the line, now"

'Around a mile, sir, but there's reports of heavy fighting en route!'
'Crap. UNSC military presence?'
'Several Fireteams and taskforces engaged, sir!'
'Good! Move it, fastest route!'

Alright, I want a pelican dropship and a squad of ODST's, right now, I'm going down there, you can't trust ONI to get the job done.

And I, for one, am going to dinner.

Connor draws his M6 handgun with his kill marks etched along the handle, he admires them for a second but snaps back to the mission. He kicks open the entry door to the air traffic control tower; he stops and listens but hears nothing in the building.

He scans the area to see plasma burns across a wall and the lower half of a person laying limp on the floor. At the end of the room is another door and a set of stairs spiralling up to the next level. Connor stalks towards the door and looks for any signs of a trap in the door but finds nothing. He enters the room and breaks right in normal room clearing manner but is met with nothing except silence.

Connor begins to walk up the eerie stair well and carefully steps so as to not make a noise. Once Connor reaches the top he sees a closed door but hears the distinctive noise of a fire that is quieted by the thick metal door. He gets up to the door and deploys takes out a snake cam from his wrist-mounted supply pack. The cam slides effortlessy under the door and is met by fire and there is nothing else visible.

Connor know he must find the datacore (whether it can work or not) and is aware his armor could handle the flames. The Spartan smashes the door open with a "donkey" style kick and is met with a whoosh of flames and his suit's VI alerts him of abnormal temperature across his back and legs. He turns around and walks into the room and through the flames to where he can find a fire extinguisher and finds the case blown open but the extinguisher still operational. Connor picks it up and walks to the computer banks and begins to spray it with the foamy liquid.

The flames subside and pulls open the front of the machine and grabs the datacore. The datacore seems to be in fine condition and he is relieved he has not wasted his time in the tower when he could be fighting the covenant. Connor sticks the core to his magnetic belt and turns around but instantly realizes something is wrong....

Badab raised his Plasma Launcher as the rest of his Special Operations squadron advanced through the burning building. Having tracked the demon, the Sangheili sought the warrior as an Honor kill. The other Unggoy of the unit flanked them as they drew their swords, crackling with energy as they moved upon the Spartan. Badab took aim, pressing his finger against the trigger as they opened fire.

Connor hears the crack of the plasma being shot out of the end of the fuel rod cannon. He flings a fragmentation grenade in the middle of the room and dives backwards as the plasma flies over his body and explodes on the wall.

The Spartan grabs a rope with grappel hook on the end and hooks on a table leg as he starts sprinting towards the open window. Connor pulls up the MA5K and holds down the trigger and fires it one handed towards the entrance to the door while running. an Elite intercepts Connor midstride and both fall to the floor.

Connor pulls the knife from his pauldron and rams it into elites throat and the thick blood spews every where as the elite dies and spasms. Connor then jumped to his feet as a grunt rounded the corner with a Needler. Connor picked his rifle off the floor and put a burst in the grunts chest. The Spartan jumps out of the window and stops 10 feet from the ground when he cuts the rope and falls to the floor and began to run towards New Alexandria.

The Spartan checks to make sure he has the datacore and continues runnin when he sees a pelican flying in the distance.

Badab pressed down on the trigger, unleashing a volley of plasma grenades after the Spartan as he moved in pursuit. Shards of metal, wood and plastic went flying in every direction as the Unggoy kept firing numerous Plasma grenades after the Spartan.

Nathan shot the last of the grunt on the streets, and walked to the group of UNSC marines that were defending their position. They had made cover from several cars and debris. He approached their sergeant.
'Sergeant, status of forces?'
'We lost contact sir. Nothing heard of any allied forces since.'
'Damn. We need to get to the datacore underground.'
'We can help you with that. Just asking, but why do you want it?'
'ONI Classified.'
'Alright. Just because there was this Spartan heading for it too.'
Nathan looked to one of his squad members.
'Damn them. Section mix up?'
He turned back to the sergeant.
'Let's go. No time to waste.'

The covenant forces lag far behind the spartan and any energy discharges fall far behind him. Now with his location already compromised he activates his GPS beacon and his radio. "This is Sierra Zero Three Seven, are any UNSC forces in the area of New Alexandria Space port?"

Connor shuts off his GPS and runs across the street and kicks open a door to a church and is met with a horrific scene of mangled corpses and charred remains. Connor pushes to the top of the bell tower to find a pair of jackals lining up shots on a squad of marines and someone who looks like an ODST.

The spartan raises his pistol and double taps the far jackal who falls limp and dies. The second jackal turns around and fires the needle rifle as fast as it can but the spartan's shield absorbs the impacts and he draws his knife and charges the creature and implants the blade in it's calf and snaps the rifle in half and smashes part of it on the creatures skull.

The jackal moans and pulls a pistol but is met with a solid punch to the midsection shattering the ribs and depressing both lungs of the creature. The Jackal lies on the floor and is barely able to move. Connor takes the beasts plasma pistol and shoots it once in the face as it melts into the floor. Connor takes his knife out of the creature and sticks his new weapon onto his magnetic belt and takes the energy shield from the jackals wrist and attaches it to his own.
