Millwall fans rioting, Maggie dividing the nation, nuclear war threatened and now Dungeons and Dragons is evil once again ! ..hmm... all in all I'm not a fan of this 80s revival.

It isn't "this again" as much as "this, still". He's just a sad ignorant senile old man, completely uncomprehending that he now lives in a world where things have reversed- video games are a billion dollar industry, and his televangelism is now a niche interest shared by a relative few. He is so lost and estranged from reality that the closest thing relating to the question that he can cast his mind back to is a set of old lies told to the credulous from a thirty year old moral panic. He still thinks those lies are true, totally unaware that they were throughly debunked more than twenty years ago. Stackpole's Pulling Report was published in 1990. But Pat doesn't know that. He still lives in the 1980s.
