On April 2nd we began working out a possible trade, I would trade him a built and unprimed Trygon and a Tyranid Warrior, he would send me 3 on-sprue XV8 Crisis Suits. On 4/3 we finalized the trade and on 4/5 he said he had shipped my items, without including a tracking number in the PM. Before I shipped, I asked to see his Ebay account feedback, since Dakka does not have a built-in Trader Reputation system.
On 4/17, I PMed him saying that the Crisis Suits had not shown up.
On 4/23, I contacted his ebay account saying that the Crisis Suits had not shown up.
He states that “I have the following Tyranid Army I am losing interest with. I am looking for cash offers. I will consider NIB partial trades at 75% of retail price for WFB Empire, Legion of Everblight, Cryx and 40k Tau.” There’s no reason he would trade away Tau for Tyranid to turn around and sell his Tyranid for Tau.
This is now the third open Transaction Report against maskedman504.
I just took a good look at the Trygon. I built it in the Trygon Prime configuration, with the big circle claws at its mouth. It is missing one of the side claws on its chest, the middle one on the left side. I looked through my bitz to see if the matching one is there and couldn't find it. I've got some spares, I can either put one spare on or toss a bunch of them in so you can figure out which one you'd like. If you'd like, I can take some pictures to show exactly what I'm talking about. Also as just a heads up, I used a little Green Stuff to get it put together well, on the back and the tail.
Otherwise, the deal looks good to me! One Warrior and the Trygon for the 3 Crisis Suits.

Before we get to swapping addresses, since Dakka doesn't yet have a trader rep system, do you have rep from any other trading sites? Ebay would be the best, but other sites would work too.
I encourage you to toss me a message on either site just to confirm it's me. I know this is super awkward to ask, can't be too careful on the net unfortunately. Hopefully Dakka gets their rep system in place soon and makes this a lot easier.

This user has been permanently suspended. For those who have ongoing trade disputes with him, InverseMatrix has his ebay information (feel free to post it here- linking to ebay accounts is fine) and people can try contacting him that way.
I want to thank the users who posted about this warning the community. I also want to apologize that the Transaction Report sticky is not up to date, making it harder for people to realize that he already had open TRs against him. It is a big job and honestly I just didn't want to take the hours required to update it. I will be doing so this month and will post that it has been updated then.
In the meantime, if folks see a trend of someone with multiple open disputes like this, or listing an item that they traded for immediately on ebay before fulfilling their end of the deal, please PM one of the SwapShop mods so that the account can be suspended, if appropriate, or simply to bring it to our attention. Thank you!

Unfortunately I have fallen victim to MaskedMan405 also. The communication was almost identical to that of which he was having with InverseMatrix. We came to the agreement in trading him my full unit of Cryx Bane Thralls for his Belial and box of Death Wing Knights. We agreed to ship simo due to him providing his ebay feedback and my bartertown feedback. He received my shipment and I've received nothing with the begging of a tracking number from him and not receiving that also. I see his account is banned and I've messaged his eBay account. Hopefully this can be resolved.
I am sorry to hear that several people have been (seemingly) taken by this user. Since he is no longer a member of Dakka, you will have to try to contact him through ebay or at the address that he provided for trade (which cannot be posted on the forum, but can be shared via PM).
I'd like to emphasize that with users with this few posts, people should be VERY careful about doing trades. Paypal purchases are much safer, but simultaneous shipping trades are ALWAYS the most risky of transactions.
Unfortunately, after my time spent here, I no longer do simultaneous trades except with trusted / long-term members, and often simply sell my items and then use the funds to purchase what I would have traded for.
Let us know if anything develops here in trying to contact him through other means.

The payment cleared last night at 12:00 am from my bank, but maybe we are splitting hairs..
I'm sure you can understand that in light of the situation I will make sure I am not wronged, and risk losing something again until I have the proof. I received payment this morning. Compensation received..
Have just messaged branderson1983 as advised and am awaiting response. Will keep you updated if we can get a resolution to my previous TR with maskedman504:
Branderson has messaged me stating his intention to clear up the situation between him and I when he has the funds available.
Whilst I obviously don't agree with what happened in the first place at the moment I am cautiously optimistic this may yet be resolved without the need to take things further. Fair play if he is settling things with people.
