Actually, maybe a good idea to start a thread here for discussion away from the news and rumours thread (where any comments are likely to get swallowed quickly).

So here is a question - anyone know whether other races are planned for this KS, or are we likely to have something similar to DB with a 'season 2'?

Yep Pacific, Forge Fathers are planned for a future stretch goal, Jake Thornton mentioned it on BGG during a Q&A sessionl. Regretfully theres been no mention of when this will happen, but I would imagine it will not be long after the 500k mark at most. The faction starter boxes are only going to be boosted so much before they add new factions, I'm guessing around 12-16 models max and say one big unit such as a mech at most.

Really looking forward to the Veer-Myn and the Asterians showing up.

And low and behold, I believe we have seen the first Forge Father teaser. Whether this means we will be seeing them in the next $50k or so is up in the air, but it looks like they are coming sooner rather than later. If the mat is the $300k stretch then maybe we will see FF stuff start to appear at $325k-350k?

Either way, the second they go up as an extra that is another $35-55 added to my pledge. And depending on what they look like I may even pump my pledge higher than I had originally figured (I'll be getting a tidy little sum from the extra 60-80 hours I'll be working in May).

Does anyone think we may finally see the terrain-centric add-ons and pledge levels tomorrow? Wednesdays and Thursdays are usually the slowest times of the week for pledging so introducing it then will likely give it a shot in the arm and give the usual Friday-rush a nice boost when all of those people holding on to the fence decide to jump off and grab some terrain while still flush with payday cash.

I guess so, although I don't think there is any need to rush at this point - we are still only 5 days in after all (although there is always the danger that the 'buzz' surrounding the project might lessen!)

Out of interest, anyone know of any Deadzone signature banners that have been made yet?

I don't need another sci-fi skirmish game, but the scenery sounds VERY promising. And I guess I can always use some more random aliens... so I'm in for a starter set and I'll add in extra scenery sprues if/when they put them as an add-on.

Latest news is that new terrain (and pledges towards it) will be revealed on Wednesday!

Out of interest - now that the 'Hellfather' miniature has been released, are we likely to see these guys as another faction during this KS?
