So here's the situation. I have tried many armies but none of them really clicked. I have tried lizardmen, skaven, tau,BA ,SW, necrons and HE.
I need your opinion on who to pick from WHFB,LOTR battle game and 40k.
Considering:
easterlings
Men of gondor
Riders of rohan
chaos marines
Orks
dwarves
Brettonians
empirewhat is your opinion. Any ithers?

Are you gong to be playing all three games?

For LOTR, it depends on your playstyle. Gondor are versatile, Rohan are cavalry based but the Easterlings are heavily armoured guys with a strong cavalry section.

I always choose my army based on the look of the models regardless of what the rules are for them. After all your going to be spending tons of time modeling and painting them. If the models don't appeal to you then you wont be as motivated to paint or play them.

I found that for myself its easier for me to focus on one army/ game at a time. When I try to tackle more than one thing at a time then nothing ever seems to get done. Everyone is different though and I don't really know your situation.

So my question is which army appeals to you most?

I'm not an expert at any of the systems, but I play 40k. I can do a bit of an analysis on the armies that didn't work for you.

Assuming you did old tau, they are an elite, shooty army. GEQ
Necrons... a durable, but elite shooty army. MEQ
Space Wolves, an elite hybrid army, MEQ
Blood Angels, fast, elite CC army. MEQ

Seems to me that elite armies, and shooty armies aren't your bag. I'd recommend Horde Orks (horde hybrid), Gaunt Swarm Tyranids (horde hybrid), or Green Dark Angels.

This is good advice. I give similar advice to those getting their first guitar. Make sure it's nice an playable, but for your first, the look is just as important. If you don't like the look you're not going to want to spend any time with it.

One more thing. First settle on a game. The game has to appeal to you, but you should also make sure that folks around you are actually playing it. Gondorians aren't going to do you any good, if no one in the area is playing LoTR.

First pick a game.
Then find an army.
