And as I mentioned in the other Defiance Games thread, you can see the issue I mentioned about the sculpt being too ambitious for the size/material. So much of the detail just winds up being washed out or too soft. It's a shame really, because the gunner character they included had a much sharper casting. I wish the rest looked like him. If they'd just recast those figures in normal hard plastic, they'd be pretty awesome.
As to the vehicles themselves, I still think they actually look pretty good. Would I purchase from Defiance directly though? Not a chance in hell. If I found them at my FLGS? Sure.

You see, I guess I was lucky, I ordered my UAMC Marines and got them, others had problems when the backorder issues got out of hand when they switched from plastic to the restic that they were unfamiliar with. It may well be that they learned their lessons and will stay on track at order fulfillment rather than chase winged ponies in the sky from now on.
Addendum: I can see that based on the low reaction to this thread that the damage Defiance Games did to their reputation has cooled any present enthusiasm and that they have a long road to recovery in their reputation/credibility department. I had such high hopes for Tony and the Defiance gang when they first were out there, and am hoping that they do rebuild reliability/credibility and fix their reputation in the gaming community, we need more sources for minis, not less.

I was huge for DFG at first, but as the complaints came rolling in I became more and more disenchanted. I don't feel like any of their kits have been as good as they should have been, their punctuality is abysmal, and customer service was terrible as of when I stopped following closely. I don't know if the customer service situation has been worked out or not. However, this vehicle looks pretty damned sharp. I'm hoping it could be a relaunching point for the company. They didn't advertise the product until they had something physical in hand. Hopefully they meet their timelines and they look as good on the table as they do on the screen. Like many, I'd like to see DFG succeed, and I'm hoping they take advantage of this opportunity to start over and do it better this time.
