Hey All,

Before the B and C went down, I was following a conversion guide from a poster named Doghouse.  He converted Fantasy Chaos Warriors into Dark Angel Space marines.  I was wondering if anyone saved the images that he posted??  He was in the middle of a tutorial on how he did it, but sadly the forums went down and now I have 17 Chaos warriors just waiting to be converted into Black Templar Space Marines.  Any help is appreciated very much.

Thanks

You're welcome.

Holy Crap!!
Chuck you rock....now my Black Templars will no longer be in modeling Limbo...When I get a few of them fixed up looking better, I'll try and post some pics. It's my first time at using Green stuff, so they look rather rough right now.
Thanks again!!

Ok, I've done a search and can find very little about "truescale".

I understand that marines should be 8' tall, and that you've made the marines bigger accordingly. However it strikes me as odd that I can't find by any discussions about truescale. Are there any links you could provide?

Thanks!

Talk to Migsula (dakka), Doghouse (warseer), or a variety of other people on the topic.

I've got them, with some extra captions added if you want them.  Amazingly, I went and saved them all 30 min. before it went down!

I am looking for whatever people have on Doghouses' stuff or I-biliyak, (I think I messed his name up) who had a pre-heresay death guard army going on. He too was using Fantasy Chaos warriors for bodies with space marine upper torsos.

As far as making a true scale marine, Migsula and doghouse were my inspiration. Doghouse uses Chaos bodies, like I have been talking about here. Mig's and others use plasticard spacers on several parts of a normal marines body to give it height. I have done both. I usually do a drag queen version where I put plasticard under the marines feet to give some height, I put plasticard between both torso pieces and finally I put ammo pouches and other accesories to hide any gaps.

I'll see if I can borrow a friends camera and take some pictures to show ya what I mean =)

I just need some more pratice with green stuff, anyone know of a good way to get it nice a smooth??

Up your nose with a rubber hose.

Doghouse's method is awesome. Here's a link to my old (and by old, I mean it pre-dates even Mig's stuff, and as such may not be as cutting edge as other folks' biggerizing conversions) tutorial which had been on old Dakka and the B&C, and which Flame of Udun was kind enough to salvage from Google cache and repost on Warseer:

Hey sorry Elusive,
Your true scale work was the first to inspire me to do true scale marines of my own. I took what you had done a simplified it down for my own sanity and amount of time or lack there of. I am hoping to get some pics of my work up to share here on dakka, hopefully they might be up by tonight =)
