Does the Tally still work?
I don't think it should. If he isn't on the board, his rule can't affect any of the other nurgle units. Wizards can't cast buffs or dispel off the board, why would his effect take place?
There's a couple of Demon players just chomping at the bit to plague all over everyone for our next tournament, so I figured I would ask and look for some guidance.

There's a thread on this. But as I see it, his rules say, "While he's alive." Is he alive in portalglpylph or is he dead? There is no other condition for the special ability other than him being alive.
In fact, you can leave him there the entire game as I see it. Though he's a 200pt character who you're not getting the use of. And he effects ALL nurgle, friend or foe. And you need to buy a Greater Daemon and spend 75pts just on that item. So none of it is cheap. So the very minimum to make it work is 375+75+200. And then it would only affect one unit, the GD who is holding the glyph. You obviously want more Nurgle than that.

Under Tally, if he's alive he gets it. If he dies, it ceases to work.
The only way for it not to work is if he's off the table is if we have a rule that says characters rules don't work when they aren't on the table.
Units in reserve, count as killed at the end of the game for VP if he doesn't enter play. Leads me to believe he counts as alive until the end of game if in reserve.
Personally, I think the Glyph is better for delivering a death star on a flank.

Sorry, I meant it in humor, not an insult.
This section is for rules. Would you like to post some rules? As near as I can tell, it does work as Epidemius is alive. This isn't a case of schroedinger cat where Epidemius is both alive and dead.

I think it is cheesy but by the wording it does seem to be legitimate. Like Matt said though there are far better things to put in the portaglyph.
