I have searched the forum and can't find what I am looking for so sorry if this has been covered.
Originally we set up a defined craft space downstairs and a defined warhammer/model area (hubby does model planes, etc to)o. But teenage daughters have to be the messiest, grossest creatures on the planet, so after just a few days of painting and only a handful of games it got packed up (also we had some more flooding).
In January I decided to give up on every having a neat and tidy space downstairs and stole half the hubbies office upstairs as my scrapbooking space, after setting that up I got a tall narrow cupboard that just fits next to his desk and collected all his armies and put them in it. Got 3 small timber crates and stacked them on their sides on top of each other on a corner of my scrapping desk these hold his paints and tools. To discover all the paints had dried up (buying him a bulk order of Vallejo after we finish painting the house shhh).
My desk is only 105cmx60cm workspace so tiny when more than one wants to paint, especially with part of it taken up by tools.
We are going to sell this house and I get to start from scratch on our dream office/craft space when we build a new house, we will use the living room of the floor plan for this so it will be twice the size of our current space. I have all my scrapping storage planned out and will be organising a table big enough for 4 to craft at comfortably together (ie a 8 seater dining table size).
My question is, I need warhammer/model inspiration, I can google image search scrapbooking room or craft room and get thousands of often very girly storage and room ideas but when I search warhammer room, miniature room or model room, well you can guess what that brings up. And since this space will be used by myself and my teen daughters for craft and myself, hubby and our younger boys for models it needs to not be such a girly space.
So I would love to see pics of other peoples rooms/spaces, their storage ideas, etc.
Does anyone else share a space with a spouse and their crafts? I would love to see how you make it work?
Thankyou for your inspiration.
