Okay, so I picked up the boxed game (not kickoff) at AdeptiCon, and I've assembled my human team and my Orx team, being from Cleveland, I'm hoping to represent the humans as the Cleveland Browns, and the Orx as the Pittsburgh Steelers. I'm trying to keep the names similar (or as much as I can) to their real life counterparts. So Cleveland is becoming the C-Level Browns, and I need some help figuring out a solid name for the Steelers (contemplated them coming from a group of Orx raiders that specifically targeted gene facilities and ships and would be the Something-burgh Gene-Steelers, but that seemed a little to 40k for my liking .

Also would anyone be able to tell me what the "peskiest" team/faction might be? I've recently started watching hockey, and my "team" (the one that I've been rooting for since Cleveland doesn't have pro hockey) is the Ottawa Senators, who have taken on the moniker of "pesky senators" due to the injuries that have plagued the team this season, and yet they made it all the way to the playoffs.

Thanks Mantic Forums!

Pit-stained Stealers? It's a well known fact that Orx and Goblins, like the residents of Pittsburgh, haven't discovered personal hygiene yet. They are, after all, French. If you're doubtful, just look at Slippery Joe-that's a French mustache if I've ever seen one.

As for pesky, I'd go Veer'Myn (not confused with pest). Reason being is that they're fragile and droppable, but you have to hit the bastards first-fast and mobile jerks! My primary play style involves mushing opponents, and if I can't even HIT them...

I figured Veer'Myn were going to be the answer I'd get >_< . Might substitute them for the Impact! Miniatures Hockey figures.

Hahaha, I'm not planning on doing the Redskins I mostly wanted to paint up Browns and Steelers. And Impact Miniatures has hocky figures, so I can do dreadball with hockey figures . Though the more I think about it, Dreadball seems to play a lot more like hockey, or even blitzball , than American Football.

Edit: Thinking of the Steelers, I think I might name them the 'Burgh-412 Steelers (based on the nickname for pittsburgh by locals, and their area code).

The lack of smilies makes this an insulting post. Since I'm forced to assume you didn't mean it that way, you may want to add some tone identifiers (smilies) in the future.

Not a bad name.

The only real world sports reference I'm using so far is for my ForgeFathers: The Cargo Bay Packers. Not sure I'll use Green Bay's colors though. I want to put yellow and black hazard stripes on them.

Welcome to the internet. Dere's a smiley for ya
Actually, I think I was typing that message on my phone-too lazy for the smiley there-I figured the comedic asshattery of the post was enough to show it was a joke. Alas, Muscles MacMohawk appears to have a thin layer of the fleshy stuff we grow over our inner organs.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Hey, condescension. Surprise...

Prior to your post there was, in fact, no "asshattery" in the thread. You chose to insult an entire town, and then an entire nationality in the same sentence. You.

My skin is just fine, though I'm not surprised you are unable to just say something like: "Yeah, oops I really didn't mean that to be insulting. Just joking."

Condescension, followed by excuses, topped off with another insult. Good game TTW...

Sigh...it was a joke. Followed by the smiley faces you requested. I don't do serious (unless it's needed).

Guys, let's all calm down, and return to thinking of some really good names for sports teams. Though I think at the moment I'm going to use the Orx Steelers from the Planet Burgh-412

Spitburgh Stealers and Kirkland (tm) Browns are my suggestions.

Kirkland, as in the costco brand.

Go for the packers colors you know you want to. If it would help very dark (almost black) green instead of bright green or the black of the hazard stripes.
