Having done Dreadball, I'm good on sports games, but good luck to them! I got their email message since I backed zombicide 2.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I'm interested as I missed Dreadball and I don't own any sport related board games.

They might want to start putting the stretches on the front page now that it's funded.

First one is at 50k for a new ringer, a female Zorro inspired figure.

Wonder if there will be any freebie teams down the line?

4 teams for 60 isn't too bad. Werewolves look like fun.

The KS Exclusive gorilla reminds me of the character that use to be on all those old T&C surf design shirts I had when I was little.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Need more than 2 sculpts per team. Hopefully there's a stretch goal to add a third to each. (Better yet, a third and fourth!)

Wow, it truly is a preorder

Doesn't look that interesting, an easy pass for me... I have no reason to pay for these games of CMON's months / a year / etc in advance when I can wait to see if it's good for gameplay (Zombicide) or not (Sedition Wars). Particularly when limited models or the like just don't matter to me for a board game.

If it's a stand-alone board game you really only need one pledge level. They also have additional teams as addons lower down the page.

The game itself? Meh. I want to like it, but they got the wrong level of goofy for my tastes. It's goofy in tha parts I want to be cool and cool in the parts I want to be goofy. Wouldn't mind nabbing a few singles though.

I would definitely not mind getting a few singles, but that doesn't seem likely. The team Paragon sculpts and the goblin team are both outstanding and I could use them elsewhere. Same goes for the daemons.

Considering the amount of peeps wanting singles...

Would it be worth the effort of putting in an order for one and then splitting the box of minis.

At 52 minis base + Stars + Gobs we are looking at around US$1.50 per mini (not including coach busts) plus postage to where you are.

Whoever does the break down gets to keep all the rest of the doodads and guarantees they get the bits they want...

Heck I would do it myself if it didnt cost and extra $25 to get it shipped to Oz.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Heck, I would be fine with going in on the extra packs as well and getting one of each of them too.

Depending on stretch goal unlocks, extra team members, especially girls, and general value of the box.. I could see myself getting one for Blood Bowl players if they are of a comparable scale.

Otherwise no interest.

edit - seems they are 32mm, which is close enough. Considering the Human team that was released a few years back is larger scale than anything else in the range, never realized to I got one last month.

So keeping an eye on this one.

While still 'successful', does Kaosball's performance mean the bloom is off the CMON rose now?

The miniatures look good, the game is a popular genre...

Is it just overdone though?

Did Mantic fulfill everyone's SF Football needs, so a Fantasy version just isn't doing it?

Or is Blood Bowl really the 'Mystery Box' from GW this year?

Really, I think it was just designed to be a more modest kickstarter from the get-go. Only one pledge level, not a ton of freebies, I think it's doing pretty well all things considered. It still has the biggest days too. I bet it clears $250k.

I don't think so. Zombicide S2 showed that. And if they launched Zombicide S3 right now, it would breach $1.5M again easily.

I think it's a combo of the new license/over saturation of that particular genre right now.

I am surprised Eric Lang's name isn't selling more copies, but we'll see.

It's a saturated (and recently KSed) genre

and it's not intended to go so big (sort of like Cadewallon) looking at what's on offer, and the stretches

Which means a cheaper retail price (and I'm guessing the aim is to sell more there)

I looked at it, despite Sedition Wars and CMON. I decided it wasn't for me because:

Only 2 sculpts/player types per team without the use of Ringers/Star Players.
Liked many, but not enough of the sculpts.
Gameplay demo seems to be much more card-dependant than I like, move 1 model per turn mechanics combined with BB "turnover" rules doesn't appeal.
Still seems rather expensive - I'd be much more willing to pay the asking price if there were (a lot) more unique sculpts/team.

I'm very happy they are founded but with only the possibility of buying the box, nevermind.

I really like some of the teams and singles so I was hoping they had a KS option for that. Ah well, gotta wait until it hits retail to have some AK wielding Cat-Girls

2 Sculpts per team is killing me. They are beatiful sculpts but too much repitition, to buy and not play Kaosball.

Might pick up the females ninjas when it goes retail.

Yeah, even with the much hated "You can only buy Team X by buying the main box, and you can only buy the main box by buying Teams V, W, Y and Z" nonsense, I'd still look at buying a Ninja team if they had more than two sculpts.

There's something to be said for the simplicity of pledges like Guardians Chronicle did- pledge this amount, get everything. End of story.

No calculating, no jockeying for early birds, just one flat fee gets everything in one box. Sure they had other pledge levels, but the sweet spot level was just that- everything produced.

Catgirls with AKs would still be my team of choice for the sheer stupidity/ awesomeness of said team. Maybe I'll grab some down the line.

It doesn't seem like they'll be adding more sculpts either with the amount of time left either.

Only if people want everything. For a game like Zombicide or Guardians Chronicle you can make the argument that an all-in sweet spot makes sense, because a band of survivors or a superhero team tends to have quite an eclectic roster of individuals. But for a team game the ideal "sweet spot" is made up of three blocks of content: (team of your choice 1) + (team of your choice 2) + (rules, board, dice, etc). If both you and your friend want the New Purgatory Daemons, getting five extra teams you don't give a gak about doesn't make up for only getting one of the teams you do want.

That's one of the things I struggled with when I played it at CMoN Expo. It doesn't really 'feel' like a sport, not really. I think the design is pretty clean, and Eric Lang was a super nice guy and I typically really enjoy his games (becaues they're usually ones my wife will play) but I haven't pledged for this yet because it didn't quite click with me. As someone that played football for 13 years and rugby for 7, it just doesn't feel reminiscent of a sport to me.

With that being said, I actually really like the card mechanic, and I still may yet pledge for the game.

Oh, as to the add ons: Eric said at the Expo that he already has around 20ish teams created for the game with individual rules and balance, so the add ons should be expected. I simply wish you could get them as individual teams instead of in blocks.
