I've decided that to sell my orks but I'm having trouble deciding on a good asking price. Here's what I own.

3 full squads of 30 boys. 2 of which are shoots squads.
10 man fully decked out nob squad
2 battlewagons
3 big guns
10 man grot squad
3 warboss with power claws
2 big Mek with KFF
1 big Mek with shokk attack gun
6 deffcoptas
1 codex

All of the individuals are metal not finecast. Including nob with wagh banner and painboy.

I'm not sure what a reasonable asking price for all that would be. About 80% is already painted. Its not expert painting but its very clean and my locals seem very impressed with it.

Any help would be great thanks

Generally speaking, your base-line pricing will likely be at least 25% off MSRP (roughly what people can get new from webstores).

On top of that, consider condition of the models:
- Is everything put together nicely?
- Is everything primed/painted?
- What is the meta-quality of the models/army you're trying to sell?
- How much of the models are OOP?

All of the above factors generally tend to bring the price further down (except perhaps the OOP one), as even at the best case 25% off MSRP, that's really for NIB items.

My personal sentiments is that you'll usually be lucky to get 60% off of retail, though I think 40-50% tends to be more realistic in returns.

That said, if someone is willing to offer you more, good on ya.

Everything is put together nicely. All of but 10 of the boys are painted as well as some of the HQ chocies. All the metals are pinned. I totaled it all up its slightly over 700 msrp. I figured I wouldn't make all my money back but I just wanted to put a feeler out to figure what a good asking price would be.

Firstly....moved this to Discussions since it's not really a trade thread.

Secondly:
As said, 75% MSRP is about the max you should really expect to get/offer, since that's what people can get the same items new from a store.

As an initial, the most I would set as a price would be 60% of MSRP.

50% MSRP moves used figures.

30% MSRP moves figures which need to be stripped.

If you want 60% to 70% you gonna have to hustle a little more to find a customer.

Metal minis seem to be worth more than Finecast and as a lot of people prefer that, then the prices are creeping up.

Painting is a bad thing, since many people want to paint their own armies and will have to spend more time stripping your paint than if they bought unpainted models. If you have some time stripping the paint yourself will probably increase their value a bit.

(Unless of course you're a golden demon winner, but if you're good enough that people want your painted models you probably already know how much to sell them for.)

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Yup. Finecast has been a disaster for GW

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?
