I was at Michaels (craft store) and I stumbled upon these awesome birdhouses.

You should take a picture with a mini in the doorway so we can get a sense of the scale.

These have cropped up before, but I couldn't find any scale reference pics. Best info I could find is that, according to Kid_Kyoto in this post, the base and first level (if you removed the smaller tower) have about a 10-model footprint.

Personally, I don't find them interesting or detailed enough to buy, since, as cheap as they are, I could still spend less and get a sheet of foamcore which, coupled with some free cardboard/-stock, could easily turn out two towers that looked just as good (or better, with some time and effort). For quick and dirty table fillers, though, you won't find anything cheaper and Michaels aren't hard to come by.

the one difference this wooden one has to foamcore is it has a 3+ armor save against children, while a foam-core one has a measly 6+ cover save. Usually not a consideration, but seeing all of the..... related offspring... running around underfoot....

To glimpse the future, you must look to the past and understand it. Names may change, but human behavior repeats itself. Prophetic insight is nothing more than profound hindsight.

It doesn't matter how bloody far the apple falls from the tree. If the apple fell off of a Granny Smith, that apple is going to grow into a Granny bloody Smith. The only difference is whether that apple grows in the shade of the tree it fell from.

I'll see if I can find mine and post a pic.

Frankly I love them, cheap and frankly the $5 is worth the time it would take to make something from foamcore or plasticard.
