So I've been working on this guy for a while both for my tournie army and as a test bed for green stuff techniques. I learned just how small I can write in latin for one. Anyone have some good techniques for painting NMM or for metallics that will still provide a depth of field. Most of my metallic painting techniques come out a little flat. So I really wanted a more dynamic mini than the standard GK termies, but I do like their style. So he incorporates alot of the art and iconography from the demon hunter book. Comments welcome!

Malfred, the helm is from the old chaos warriors sprue. I just sawed off the horns and rounded the back of it a bit.
Oh, the image on top is a one-off casting from the SOB immolator sprue that I then modified for the terminator's back.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

"All my life, I have searched for a Terminator that feels a certain way. Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball. Now, at last, I have found it."Though methinks you need tread on the boots and a thinner sword hilt.

@syr8766 -I'm making a unit of 5 of them once I've worked the kinks out of this one.
@Construct -oh! treads next time I will add them. The hilt is pretty large, it was my first attempt at wrapping green stuff like leather around the hilt. The device on the pommel is right on scale with the large hilt though.
@Orinoco - I'll get some more pics once the painting progresses. The sword's blade is built from two catachan swords back to back with the serrated edges smoothed into a curved blade edge. The blade's well has green stuff with "imperterritus" (fearless) engraved on one side and "formidibilis" (formidible) on the other. The hilt begins with a green stuffed mechanism from a chain sword merging into the hilt. The device on the pommel is an open framework metal bead from some costume jewelry (amazing what makes it into my bitz boxes).

The helmet and dynamic pose make this a standout conversion.

wow, I've never seen a Terminator with such a dynamic pose. that looks great, but won't a Terminator fall over when he runs like that

this heroicic charge pose reminds me of the first picture in the demon hunters codex. you know, those 5 termis, one Inquisitor and about 20000 Khorne Demons

The conversion work is quite nice, but I think the running pose makes it look too top heavy, but that might just be the angle of the shot. Well skilled paint job, but I don't think I like the colors, makes me think of Iron Warriors more than Grey Knights.

/me notices ammo belt for the first time. The steel is too dark and sinister...except for a sergeant. Mad propz for how integrated the Green Stuff work turned out.
