I've noticed a lack of Mercs figures around here. This figure is my very first metal miniature. I generally don't like the metal stuff due to the fact that they're a bit harder to put together since you need to pin and whatnot. Thankfully, this figure was easy to work on. I don't really like Kemvar's studio colors and I wanted something that feels a bit more sci-fi. I'd seen this color scheme used online on a photoshop of a Sefadu figure and I thought it looked pretty cool, so I tried it out here. I'm actually really pleased with how he turned out, even if the eyes and glowing bits didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped. Chances are though, he won't be used in Mercs games. He'll probably wind up getting use in some Mutants and Death Ray Gun campaigns and Deadzone though.

Let me know what you think. And does anyone know what those spikes are on the bottom of his gun? Is that supposed to be ammo or what?

Nice looking mini! I like the action of the pose, and I like the blue/white color palette you went with. The green glow effect on the backpack also works well.

Not sure about those spikes at the front of the gun. At first I thought it was an ammo clip/belt with protruding rounds, but looking at how it lines up with the front of the gun it doesn't seem possible. Perhaps a grenade launcher of some kind?
