Elysian Drop Troops, original color scheme by another, painted by me. I have several more 10-man squads like this to do -- I'll try to get more cinematic photos with each additional finished squad.

↓ .gif, worth the wait (if there even is one, is there one? imgur is pretty amazing)

Wow those are pretty amazing! I really dig the visors and the orange plasma on the one guy really makes him pop.

Seriously great work here.

Thanks, Villain. Are you the only one on these forums? Because you and one guy were the only ones that commented on my last miniatures

I love Elysians - they really lend themselves to less-conventional camo schemes. You've done a fantastic job on them and the snow bases show them off superbly.

How'd you do the snow?

Haha I am surprised you didn't get more comments on the last thread as your paint made a crappy figure actually look good lol.

I am on here more than I should be as I should be working...

Anyways I was going through your blood angels and other work and I decided I hate you and your skills now.

I love these, such a great colour scheme and everything works together really well.

Are you planning to paint any vehicles? I'd love to see a whole army with this scheme.

Whoo yeah, that's more like it! Thanks all.

@Necroagogo: The snow is Woodland Scenics flake snow, mixed with PVA glue over a rocky base (flock, mixed with glue, painted dark grey).

I added some flexible modeling paste (http://www.dickblick.com/products/liquitex-modeling-pastes/) because I had some around, and it works to make a nice brighter, smoother snow look. I just mixed it with some of the flake snow, and then decorated the bases a bit with it where it needed.

@Da Mediokre Painta: No vehicles planned as of yet (just a couple more squads), but I think I'll be getting a few Tauroses and perhaps a Vendetta or 4 done by the end of it. Up to the client.

This paintscheme is one of the best I've ever seen! I love the stark military scifi look you have going on.

I really like the colors you used on them. That plasma gunner is easily the standout one of the bunch though. Makes me wish my paintjobs looked that nice. If you don't mind my asking, what colors did you use on these?

Thanks killykavekommando, Barzam.

@Barzam: Colors used:
Thunderhawk Blue (basecoat, armor)
Administratum Grey (cloth, mix of highlights)
Charadon Granite (backpacks, details)
Runefang Steel and Ironbreaker (weapon)
Nuln Oil black was over entire miniature, then picked out with basecoat colors selectively for shading.
Snow was using scenic snow with PVA glue, plus some "flexible modelling paste" for some extra depth, and snow detailing.

Wow, love it. Never been the biggest fan of Elysian's, but those look great. The Camo is great, as are the visors and plasma gun.

Really good application of a gif too: would love to see more like that.

Fantastic job, really fething impressive mate.

Good effort.

Why did you do this? You're torturing me. I barely managed to convince myself I didn't need any Elysians the last time I thought of getting some and then you make these absolutely incredible guys here. I like the character of the unit, the poses are dynamic and the colour scheme is really eye-catching and effective.

Oh myyyyy.

I was hoping for something cool, but that rotating .gif of the squad is some next level presentation. Great paintjobs all around, and great use of the complimentary color on the plasma coils.

Looking forward to seeing more. I tend to go for the traditional blue plasma. It's nice to see something a little different. There is something with the pose of the plasma guy and the fiery orange/ red - makes it look like he is anticipating the gets hot roll
