I'm building an Iyanden army, and am testing the yellow on a War Walker. For the yellow, I primed with Army Painter Daemonic Yellow spray, washed with Seraphim Sepia, then thin coats of Yriel Yellow followed by Gitz Yellow. The blue is a dark p3 color, followed by VGC Magic Blue and enchanted blue afterwards. Also, this is my first model to paint using a wet palette. I'll never go back, it's fantastic!

Pics of other units to follow, I'll update as I go.

Primed with Daemonic Yellow - I don

You can see the yellow really starts off in a bit of a pastel shade, which is what makes it perfect for the sepia wash.

I do not, I'd have one if it were priced like the riptide, but since it isn't I'll have to wait to scoop up a deal on one. I do have a Wraithlord though. Washing it today.

Nice. Is that a metallic blue on the wraith heads or do my eyes deceive? I like it and bases look good.

The blue is Vallejo magic blue painted up to a lighter shade. I think any improvement in smoothness is due to use of a wet palette, which makes blending easier. Thanks for the compliments gents!

Tried a tiny bit on the photo. Camera is still worthless, but background is a little more interesting now.

These are table top ready, there's plenty of details and cleanup in their future. The Wraithguard will have glowing weaponry eventually. Looks like Dire Avengers are next in line once the Wave Serpent is completed.

The yellow looks really nice, the wraith guard look really imposing. I think I'd like a darker blue, which I might try when I get some Eldar models.

They look great though and the bases look spot on

Before all else, be armed

Nice, it makes me want to break out the Eldar I've had in a large box totally unassembled.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentations of the women.

Thanks for all the positive feedback! @Kelly502 just tape up that box and ship it to me! @noballgames i think a darker blue works! i started with a very deep blue, but because i had just started wet blending, couldn't resist blending up to a more electric blue.

After checking out the pics, I would like to do my Eldar this way. What did you use for primer, paints, and where can I get them?

@Fleshgod - they are primed with Army Painter Daemonic Yellow, washed with GW Seraphim Sepia, and then a base of thinned down GW Yriel Yellow. I use a wet palette (google-fu it), which makes for easy thinning and blending. After all that, I typically start highlighting, and Seraphi Sepia wash any joints or bits that may have been lost while adding yellow. The blue is a dark blue color from P3 (any dark blue will work), and then I wet blended up to a lighter blue (any light or electric blue will work).

I order stuff from TheWarStore, they carry the GW and Army Painter products, at a 20% discount.

Awesome, looking ace, I've decided to re paint my Eldar after I got seven shades of yellow in one army.

Henceforth, all my pointy heads will be black!

Go for D-Scythes next, they're amazing

Haha, have fun! It's certainly easier to paint black over yellow than vice versa. The yellow can be a touch tricky!
