Hey folks, so I finally got around to basing my savage orcses, so I thought I'd bung 'em up for critique. These were my first experiments with dipping, and I'm pretty pleased with the result overall, though a few learning points to take forward. I made the mistake of basecoating everything before I drybrushed the flesh, so as a result, I had a few details end up with green on them that I failed to notice before dipping.

These were my first attempts at speed painting - probably around 12 hours overall, including prep and the simple basing. Some may find that really slow, but compared to my usual glacial output, its a massive improvement, and I'll be dipping my whole orc and gobbo army. I've started on a unit of night gobbos now. As always, open to critique, but please keep in mind, I'm trying to achieve a useable standard at speed, so any speed tricks much appreciated!

They look great. If I had to critique them then only thing I might say was that the teeth and nails look a little too clean ie too white but that is just nitpicking. Awesome work and should look great on the table.

Try a little sepia wash around the base of the teeth and nails. It will add that unbrushed look. Cool man, I am going to brush mine now.

Just forgot what I was going to say.

Its been too long since I last saw a savage ork. Really fun pieces. They look good for a speed paint and I love the flint weapons.
