I'm finding that I actually rather like Mantic's elves. Shocking, I know that someone actually likes them. They don't really match up all that well with GW's elves, in terms of design or size, but I actually really like that about them. I'd seen somewhere that someone went with the theme that these are actually the Fae rather than High Elves and I rather like that idea. I'm going to run with it myself. I can totally see the Fae peoples taking up arms against encroaching humans. Since I only have a small force, I'll be playing them as my warband for Song of Blades and Heroes. These are so far the only guys I've got done, other than actually painting the bases of the spearmen, anyway. I have two others that are actually finished, but I used them as test subjects for my new can of Army Painter Quickshade.
