Based on the downloadable rulebook, I've been playing the game so that a single attack never causes a model to lose more than one HP. Even if the shooter got six "hits" and the target didn't save any of them, they still only take one HP damage. The advantage of this is that it makes the game last a little longer, as there is no way a model can be killed by a single attack.

However, the little Quick-Start card example says "...for every successful roll to hit..." Does this imply that it is possible to lose more than one HP from a single attack? For instance, if a shooter got six "hits" and the target didn't save any of them, they would lose six HP all at once. If this is correct, the game is even deadlier than I thought.

Which is the correct way to play?

Oops... looks like someone forgot to update the quickstart rules.. I wonder who did that?

The correct way is 1 HP per attack the old way was you could lose 1 per hit and that made the games go by way too fast.

Oh my.. that DOES make things a bit longer, and at the same time more cinematic..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.
