I also started painting some Flames of War stuff.

Wow that looks like alot of FOW stuff.Soviets if I am not wrong.Or perhaps they are US marines?

Anyway can't wait to see them painted,keep up the good work.

And yes, they are Soviets.

In the midst of painting a Mumak, I also put a bunch of stuff that I already knew how to
paint. By that I mean I knew what paints I'd use, how I'd highlight, etc. I wasn't sure how
I was going to do the Mumak.

But I'm already familiar with this stuff: Wood Elves, Legion of Everblight

Close ups of the Mumak. I painted it Grey over black, but I can't remember if I used Stonewall
or Cold Grey for the basecoat. I washed it with Brown.

The detail on the basing I kind of painted, but I figure would not be noticed. If I ever paint
a Mumak again it'll have the base completely covered with flock of some kind.

Speckle with glued sand, actually. I always base before I prime.

Pffft, I'd have taken this more to heart if you'd referenced miniatures other than 40k. But
instead, I'll just keep dreaming of painting up Warcaster Gym Leaders and evolved forms of
Warbeasts.

I guess August was the month where I'd start multiple projects and not finish them until
later. I started painting some Khador stuff soon after I started the Soviets.

An attempt to wet blend with a wash and an immediate highlight. Takes forever, and I'm
not sure if the effect worked out.
