Sounds like it was a great event. Is there a list of the types of armies that showed up?

I know this is a bit late, but if you guys wanted to see some pictures. My girlfriend was going around taking pictures all weekend of games/armies/people. So Mike has given me permission to share the pictures so everyone can hopefully enjoy them.
If the angles seem a bit odd, my GF does not normally take pictures of 40k games lol. I hope you guys enjoy.

Love it, also love how Nick and Dan seemed to truly put some effort into their photo-bombing

Allan let me see what I can do. We only charge a buck or three for them, and shipping should be painless.

Best terrain I have ever seen at a tournament of that size! Looked awesome.

Thank you Furby! I'm totally passing that on to our terrain crew

That also motivates me to re-post our monuments all arrayed ... these all lit up each night for the Narrative.

Allan/Blackmoor - send an e-mail to novaopen@gmail.com about the patches. We've got a few, and I think shipping and handling is less than $5.

Miguel,
I was seriously disappointed to learn that there was a distinct lack of bourbon deliciousness being passed out at your event.
My understanding was that you viewed the NOVA as an upscale event and yet I cannot understand why you neglected to include such a necessity.
You should be ashamed of yourself. See that you do better in the future and perhaps I might attend your event in the future.

So the rumors were unfounded?!

You're saying that I won't need to bring my whiskey filled camelbak?

I suggest strongly that you bring it regardless.

Please tell me you were wearing a trench coat and slipping it out of a paper bag to pour it into people's mouths...

Tell me it regardless. I don't even care if it's true!

(I'll have to give that a look, though I imagine the following day isn't very pleasant)

Holy crap that Vodka was gross. I was hiccuping like a a cartoon drunk for an hour it was so rough. But it was fun seeing the reaction of the next poor soul who had to try it!

The vodka was not pleasant. Fortunately, the bar upstairs had a supply of Laphroaig, so all was not lost.

Awesome weekend for my first tournament in the US, and more than happy with a 9th place overall finish and getting to play on Sunday (after not enough sleep again...).

I didn't have all that much trouble with flyers actually. My own vendetta scored a load of kills but my quad gun was consistently useless. I had a game against a guy with 6 vendettas and two manticores but it ended up going in my favour on objectives, and his flyers were looking very much the worse for wear. I do think it's a problem for armies that can't easily deal with them though, and that's quite a lot of armies right now.

Is there anyplace where I can see the lists that took highest places? like top 20, or 10, or at least 5

What in the fething feth Mike? 100,000 scovilles and vodka are both abysmal on their own. This sounds like death in a bottle. *Makes note to try and attend next year*

No, the lists are not posted anywhere, if there's a specific list you want to know about however you could probably ask and one of us who was there could roughly fill in the blanks
