Expect this fleet to double in the next month or so. And the SSD to be retired for something a bit more appropriate.

I hear you about being at it long enough. For me, it’s not if I have something to post that’s venerable, but if I’ve already posted it.

But will the SSD’s replacement <3 NY as much as it does?

I know I missed Friday, but I didn’t want this thread to fall too far off the first page.

Finished painting up an old RT-era librarian for Para’s monthly competition. The arm with the demon head is new, but the rest is good and retro!

Well, it's nothing entirely new, but seeing all the hero quest stuff a few pages back inspired me to try to dig out what remained of my old set. This entailed searching through many boxes for a few scattered pieces; my sisters and I really did a number on these guys when we were little. But a brave few survived.

It's actually the one die and the chest that surprise me the most. But I hope I can find more. I played with this guys years before I even knew what warhammer or even miniatures were.

First pic? Uploaded 5/6/12:

(I may have already posted them in this thread, as they are all a little retro)

And for something new (Hah!) I recently finished painting some Fire Dragons.

Captain Aetolia Lightfoot, so old, he dates from when every sculpt had a name.

Enjoy your weekends everyone.

Edit: Hey Ratius, when I was checking though my posts in this thread to find out if I posted my chaplains before (I did) I noticed it was in response to Last time you asked we post out first pics. Flashing back to earlier in the flashback thread. How meta is that! Or it’s just time for the meds and a nap.

My contribution:
Eldar army I passed along earlier this year (club was starting up a 2nd ed push, so he wanted eldar to get into it with).
Some 5th ed stuff in there, but mostly 1st/2nd/3rd ed stuff.

And the Seer council I kept. I have one of every warlock they released somewhere. These are the ones I could find.
Farseer was 3rd ed "bullwinkle" with spear - converted to hold a majik sword instead (I think it's Tethlis' )

Love those Eldar pics! (Mmmmm, grav armor) I wonder if when GW gets around to doing Eldar made to order stuff if I can fill out some of the RT lead I have enough to field valid squads. Not going to help the guy with a ML hefted up on his shoulder, but the others might see the table if they had some fellows.

TGIF everyone.

I snapped a pic of the transfers that came in the RTB01 box for another thread, and figured I’d share them here as well. I should really go through my whole little box of ancient decals and share the lot of them. But these will do for now.

As prominent as the Crimson Fists were in Rogue Trader, you'd figure they'd have had Fists transfers.

The only one I don’t recognize is the non-SW wolf/dog thing between the DAs and WSs.

Interesting that your’s is black. I posted mine somewhere upthread, but it was done in blue ink. Came with a LR, not a rhino though. I wonder if I got a misprint, or they just made them in different colors. Blue always struck me as odd. I suspect your were supposed to put them on and then use them as a guide to paint over.

There are Red Scorpions, that *is* the Dark Angels. I think the bird head is actually Raptor Legion as Mentor Legion hadn't been added to the fluff. I can't identify the wolf/dog head thing. It's possible its a symbol for the Rhino to be Imperial Guard.

Mentor Legion has a double page picture spread in the red RT compendium, with their commander suiting up. Their owl head symbol is not on the transfer sheet. I’m not sure exactly when the 888th chapter was added to the fluff, but it was close to the start.

The compendium reprints from White Dwarf, probably from around #90 onwards
