What an exciting month we have ahead!

We have the pleasure of releasing two brand new posse sets - one for the Enlightened and the other for the Outlaws, both of which received high praise from the Wild West Exodus community when they were shown as sneak peeks in 2018. For the Enlightened players out there, we have Discordant Symphony which sees Thomas Edeson with his beautifully dangerous Mina, whereas for the Outlaw players we have The Golden Army featuring none-other than Pancho Villa, Heraclio Bernal, Rosaria Mendes and Catalina Romero.

And that’s not all…

Alongside the new and improved Order Tumbler for the Order, Warrior Nation players can now add more grey brothers of the mountain, the Hunting Wolves, to their posse - perfect extra support for last month’s release, the Hour of the Wolf posse. PLUS the Spirit Totem set is now available on pre-order too.

And lastly, but by no means least, you can now pre-order Nakano Gozen! Having played her part as our very special event miniature, the Emissary of the Blazing Sun will be released on March 30th along with the rest of this month’s pre-orders.

These items are available to pre-order from us, or your FLGS, and as always, be sure to check out all of this month’s pre-orders so you don't miss out on any of our new Wild West Exodus products.

THE GOLDEN ARMY POSSE

In his relentless drive north, Pancho Villa has gathered a considerable force behind him and is no longer content to lead from the back. His new followers include the deadly pistolero Heraclio Bernal, known as the Thunderbolt of Sinaloa, The Fearless Desperado Procopio, for whom killing was a pastime, the revolutionist Rosaria Mendes, whose message can be heard far and wide and Catalina Romero, hunter, trapper and crack shot with a rifle.

Villa has taken up his Gatling gun and stands at the head of what has become known as the Golden Army, as their undisputed patriarch.

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £35.00

DISCORDANT SYMPHONY POSSE

The inventor Thomas Edeson has a knack of developing technology pioneered by others and refining it as his own. Coupled with a shrewd understanding of the politics within the Enlightened, his place at the heart of Burson Carpathian’s Egalitarian theology is assured.

His most significant achievement to date has been the development of the Phonic Blaster; a highly versatile weapon capable of rupturing eardrums, skin and also internal organs if the frequency is right. The experimental Aural Projectors he personally wields are even more powerful.

Dancing was Mina’s passion and as he worked he would often ask her to dance in his workshop in a private performance as his muse. When Mina was struck down by Polio, the science of the Enlightened saved her life, but she was forever mentally and physically debilitated by the disease. Desperate to see his wife smile, Thomas arranged for Gustave Eiffel to create her a new pair of legs and improve her body. The operation was a success and Mina is now more devoted than ever, tirelessly dancing for Edeson as he works long into the night. If Edeson has to travel, Mina usually accompanies him, now his lethal protector as much as a muse…

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £35.00

NAKANO GOZEN

Nakano Gozen has lived her entire life in service to the Blazing Sun - the Immortal Empress Shinzua. As a direct descendant of the Empress with a startling likeness, Gozen has been trained extensively in both the martial and diplomatic arts. While her adventurous nature made her unsuitable for a role at court, Gozen was trusted instead with a secret mission to the American Frontier.

As Emissary of the Blazing Sun, Nakano Gozen's mission has brought her into contact with both the Lawmen and Outlaws in the Wild West. While she is treated with suspicion by the authorities, her skill with the blade and silver tongue make her a valued ally to the Outlaws. Her interest in the activities of Doctor Carpathian has not gone unnoticed by the Enlightened or Union agents either...

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £13.00

HUNTING WOLVES

The moon-howl brothers of the mountains have long been allies to the Warrior Nation. In times of need, whole packs have been known to come to the aid of a beleaguered tribe. Hunting Wolves are extremely fast over open ground and rough terrain alike. Often one wolf will dart in against their prey, usually from behind, and take a swipe while another of the pack does the same. Working together in this way they can take down much larger opponents and once on the ground they go for the throat.

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £13.00

ORDER TUMBLER

The process of gnosis has allowed the Allshard to impart the designs of many fantastical and arcane technologies to their mortal followers. Such designs are revered as sacred relics, their replication one of careful and unwavering repetition. Though such marvels are limited by the terrestrial materials and processes used to manufacture them, they are still decades beyond even the wildest dreams of the scientists of the Enlightened. The Tumbler is one such relic - a high speed and perfectly self-stabilising monowheel. Piloted by a single Spica, the Tumblers are exceptionally very fast and agile for their size. The twin Sunhammer Cannons pack a punch, searing enemies and melting steel with rapid blasts of super-heated particles.

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £20.00

SPIRIT TOTEMS

These hand-carved artefacts are a sign of devotion, not only to the spirits of the land but also to the Great Spirit itself. Spirit Totems are placed wherever the Warrior Nation are found, both as markers and as locus to the spirits. Two such totems can be linked through the spirit realm be a shaman or prodigious spirit guide to open a path between those two worlds. It is through these paths that the Warrior Nation can appear wherever they are needed in order to strike at their enemies or withdraw without a trace.

Please note: Miniatures are supplied unpainted and some assembly will be required. Character Unit Cards are not included and can be found on the Wild West Exodus website.

Price: £13.00

REALLY glad to see those totems get down to a more reasonable price! I'll probably pick up a second set just for basing/terrain bits.

Now we just need booby traps to not cost $20 for 4 30mm base inserts heh.

Also liking that the new tumbler is a different sculpt. Does it have various head/weapon options?

While her adventurous nature made her unsuitable for a role at court, Gozen was trusted instead with a secret mission to the American Frontier.

That concept art looks pretty nifty, particularly that big knight dude.

I'm not too sold on that Polish Hussar woman (who I assume is their first Lost Exodus mini), her bike is rather clunky and under-detailed IMO, but more minis like those concepts and I'm in.

I'm always on the lookout for more steampunk weirdness. Especially if samurai are involved.

Is this supposed to play differently from Wild West Exodus?

Yes. They asked them to change the name, and they did. They didn’t sue anyone for infringement.

I have to say when originally announced, the merging of the Dystopian and WWX universe killed any interest I had in either line dead; I like the Victorian Sci-Fi element of Dystopian, and the weird west steampunk of WWX, but I didn't particularly like them combined, since my primary hope was for Dystopian Legions to get reworked into a good game with some actual support.

But it sounds like this Lost World spin off might see the aesthetic lean just a bit back to what I liked about the Dystopian setting in the first place. Definitely going to keep my eye on it.

Just like when the mafia enforcer asks you to do something. "Nice business you got here, it'd be a shame if anything were to happen to it." The mafia guy just asked for a favor, but if you don't think there is a consequence for not giving the mafia guy what he asks for, you haven't watched enough movies. Or had the displeasure of working with enough lawyers.

But let me rephrase since the point was apparently lost on you:
Warcradle should ask GW to change the name of their WarCry line on the basis of trademark infringement. And then take appropriate legal action if GW doesn't comply.

I'm liking everything they've shown off!

As much as I enjoy the weird west stuff, I do like the possibilities of exploring more of the Dystopian Age and seeing more of its inhabitants.

The Teutonic knight seems quite inspired by the Dystopian Legions designs but with the steampunk bits dialed even higher up.

So do we still not know if/when Firestorm might be coming back in some capacity? In August it will have been two years since Spartan went belly up. It seems to me that after the two year mark most people will have moved on to something else to fill that gaming niche.

The last official news was that a Firestorm beta rules release will happen very soon after they wrap up the beta for Dystopian Wars. Dystopian Wars at present seems to be on course for release later this year (I'm guessing Q3 or early Q4). So that puts Firestorm likely off until 2020.

I think part of the issue is that when spartan went belly up they didn't sell the company and site, just the asests loaded onto pallets by the administrators. So basically WC picked up a lot of stuff, mostly not sorted nor setup and have had to upgrade and extend their own factory to allow them room to actually produce more stuff. I think they've used that time to redesign and at present the space market is still fairly empty - the only other two big names are Starwars (which is pre-painted and sort of in its own world being as its SW) and Dropfleet Commander, which has gone through its own period of dwindling popularity after their KS sort of left them scrabbling and falling apart a bit as well - though they are now owned by TTC and have a new book set to launch this year.

The only other big name is Battlefleet Gothic, but GW has been really silent on that front and we've no suggestion that if it is comming that its anywhere close to being released.

I do agree I'd love to see the two core games of Dystopain Wars and Firestorm back on sale - heck when Spartan went belly up I had JUST started building a Dindrenzi fleet and was into their KS campaign. I even had to get paypal to refund me because an order I placed for a load of ships from SG wasn't going to arrive (fair is fair SG did contact/announce that people should seek refunds at that stage). So I am still partly all fired up for railguns!!

Dystopian was also Spartan's strongest selling (no idea about Halo though) product for a long while that launched them from small to fairly major league in being known and popular for a while. So yeah it makes sense that that gets the early lions share of attention.

I have to agree I really liked the fleets for Firestorm as well, though I thought some could have done with more art to show off their weapons as they were not always clear "guns" as such. But yeah they had some really great designers in Spartan Games for models - really creative team putting out very solid designs.
