Space Marines didn't get a book in the first 30 days post release, that means Space Marines are being abandoned.

Normal logic I guess.

The Pace is fairly believable.

Sisters could be a very small release if they did come out. Five girl box with lots of options like Sisters of Silence could cover most of their unit options. A "Hero Box" like 'Stealer Cults got.

It could be done in a crowded schedule.

What seems to make it unlikely to me:
No Space Marine core book for all that time leaving your majority of players (Index Imperium 1 was the only one to sell out worldwide) on a 'get you buy' list for months seems unlikely, unless they are really committed to moving everyone onto primaris.

One book for all eldar everywhere, but three Chaos marine books? Seems unreasonable also.

I find it a bit odd myself. Why would there be an eldar codex? Unless the person who leaked that was just doing what most people do, referring to craftworld eldar as just eldar. If it were unified eldar it'd probably be ynarri. Not impossible but strikes me as unlikely.

I also struggle with the idea that all chaos factions sans renegade knights will get a codex before a generic space marine codex comes. Unless the primaris codex comes with some rules for chapters as a whole.

On the other hand, this is supposed to be a chaos/imperium focused year, so the releases don't look that far fetched. I suppose it also makes sense that large faction like eldar might get generic rules to work with any mixed eldar army, as a stop gap to supplement the existing stop gap. It'd be weird but possible. And if they really want to push primaris marines, including generic marine rules alongside the codex wouldn't be the worst plan.

Possible release of codexs

This comes with all the signs of being (utter) fake

The numbering 1a), 1b) etc makes me smile like a weirdboy

So according to this 'source' there will be product for two completely different 40k factions each month... Plus AoS will get releases on top of that?

This is so wrong...

Considering that it's almost July and we:

A) don't know of any Codex being released, and
B) know of a Primaris vs Death Guard quick start set being released

My guess would be that each month may see a new quick start set with A vs B being the sides.

I don't think that list is about all models and/or codex being released each month.

that or the releases refer to MODELS. death guard and Primaris getting their models out by the end of july sounds pretty likely to me. eldar have somne finecast that could use replacing, as do Guard, september could see a big sisters release with some odd chaos updates. that said it sounds more like wishlisting then anything serious

I doubt we will see a thousand sons vs chaos demons set.
I could see single week miniatureless codexes for thousand sons geanstealer cults and deathwatch along with full releases for primaris marines, deathguard and maybe two other codexes.
That would make 7 in the first 7 months of 8th which would be a pretty good start and by far the fastest release pace for a new edition ever.
With AoS having at least 2 more books, at least one more battletome and Shadespire, I would not expect more than that.
I would expect a new admech codex to be one of the earlier releases. The rumour mill, the hints in the gathering storm book and the fact that it is a range that the design studio are interested in all point to that.
I would be very surprised of the orks are not the first xenos race to get a new minis codex combo. The have been plenty of hints in the rumour mill and from Hastings, not to mention the recent mentions of warzone Armageddon.
2018 will see the a big slaanesh release. They seem pretty set on doing one chaos God a year.
Interestingly there are several sections of the 24 hour 40k live stream up on warhammer TV's Facebook page but the interview with Vetock where he talked about having seen Slaanesh stuff in the studio and admech necron shenanigans is missing. I suspect he said stuff he was not supposed to.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

The list could refer to models. Codexes could be a way out as some of the armies get bulked up on 'missing' stuff and new plastic.

Still, two a month with no pause seems a bit extreme.

On the flip side, who last week knew of the First Strike and other starter sets?

I didnt say SMs were being abandoned, but I doubt they will receive many new kits. For one, what more do they need? That is the whole reason for Primaris. They ran out of all the possible kits they could sell, then made a slew of questionable kits for every faction. See: Thunderwolves, The Dark Angels Darkshroud landspeeder thing, Dreadknight, etc.

They jumped every possible shark with regular space marines, and now they've cranked it to 11 with bigger marines so they can remake everything over the next 20 years. I personally don't have a problem with any of that, but I'm not ignoring the writing on the wall. Regular marines are unlikely to get many new models going forward. They have as complete of a range as they could ever need, which has been to the detriment of many other armies. Hopefully it means they can focus on updating all the other armies with core army kits that are over 20 years old.

I see what your getting at Starfarer but if they are done with astartes because its complete it just means primaris will get whatever energy that frees up. I don't see a net change for any other faction at all. They will still be the stuff that comes out inbetween the spirling insanity of what primaris will probably become.

Im more worried about what the admech and necrons are doing now then the Primaris...
everything has seemed pretty on point until now, at least to me. As an ork builder and collector, I love the ridiculous dakka of that new tank, but im sure it has options to not take a lot of it.

They may just hold off on releasing proper Codexes for a few months, to avoid instantly invalidating an Index.

I'm willing to bet we'll see all the Primaris Releases BEFORE Codex Space Marines drops, so they can hype and tease each release. If they drop the codex first, the internet may decide something is crap before they even release it.

Atia mentioned the existence of a Death Guard tank

https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2193#disqus_thread

Looks like the artwork in the DG video was indeed showing an upcoming kit

and there is going to be a 10-model Plague Marine multipart kit.

With Atia already teasing these releases they cant be that far away

It will be a Primaris and called a cyberprimaris or a techgravis. Iron Hands will not rejoice.

By their nature, Iron Hands players arent happy, as good feelings are heresy.

Next you'll be saying that Eldar will get plastic Aspect Warriors. I know Canadians are a little off with their not making people choose between paying medical bills and paying rent, but come on. You're talking crazy.

Good stuff. I'm mainly interested in that Intercessor squad leader, right now he looks like the helmetless pointing guy from DI.

@the image. Definitely getting a few of those and reorganizing the Squads. I want that auspex Marine in each squad.

Hopefully moving the Sergeant's helmet to his head and covering the spot it came from will be easy enough. Seriously, GW needs to stop doing that. Helmets go on heads!

I still believe we will see plastic Sisters of Battle by the end of the year. I remember that when the new canoness miniature came out at the end of 2016, GW was surprised by how well it sold and the story was that it pushed GW into doing more with the SoB. However, the GW process of miniature design through to final production seems to take about a year, so it would make sense that we don't see anything before the end of 2017.

Primaris will surely get a bunch of kits, no doubt. But they won't do it all at once, so in the mean time we can hopefully get the badly aging Chaos line, Eldar aspects, Inquisition/SOB, etc. will be updated before they feel the need to do specific chapter versions of Primaris models.
