The Goliaths and Orlocks look great painted up in bright, classic style. Straight out of the 90s. When I was a kid, I liked the look of the Orlocks as they were not as exotic as some of the other gangs. That shotgun guy in particular stands out as a great model.

I’m impressed with the scatter terrain. I usually can’t bring myself to do much more than basecost, wash, drybrush and weathering on terrain like these. Your extra love and attention to detail will really bring these to life on the battlefield. I agree with IGtR that the red is nice.

IGtR= wrote:Wwow, that scenery came along quickly! Red looks great - do you mind sharing the recipe?

Painting process:
Primed black.
Given a spray from above of Regal Red Tremclad.
Dry brush of red.
Painted the cables with various colors.
Chipping effect with silver.
Rust spotting with orange.
Wash with brown ink.
Light dry brush with a mix of red and yellow.
Washed metallic areas with black ink.
Added a layer of Mig Pigment Dessert Sand with contrast medium everywhere that sand and dust would accumulate.
Sealed to make certain the sand does not lift.

Hope that explains the coloring. The Tremclad was a little glossy, but it did make for a good red base over the black primer.

Thanks for sharing that red recipe - I shall have to give it a try on mine!

Don't think I have ever seen Spyrers in a more muted scheme before - makes the one on the left look very 'inspired' by predator.

Thanks for sharing

Thank you Riddle and DJJazzyJeff.

DJJazzyJeff, I do try to build projects in manageable chunks so that I complete the one I am working on before starting the next one. To keep from getting stale I do switch between 40K and Necromunda at the moment.

So some old metal Necromunda Giant Rats have received a coat of paint.

They are mounted on old pennies (which are no longer legal tender in Canada).
