I figure you guys could probably help me with this. I'm looking to get a dropship, but I'm having difficulty finding one in 28mm. The only ones I know of are the GW ones: Valkyrie and Storm Raven. Both of these are a bit too expensive for me right now and don't really fit the aesthetic I'm looking for anyway. I know Old Crow made some great looking ones, but Old Crow doesn't seem to be around anymore. Antenociti will have their dropship kickstarter at some point, but I don't think we've gotten word yet on when that'll be. So, I'm wondering if any of you know of any other companies out there that make 28mm scaled dropships or if any of you could recommend to me a model kit that might work well (with or without minor converting).

Old Crow ARE still around, but the e-shop is gone.
You just have to email Jez to get stuff done.

They are a little small for 28mm, though. They are good for 20-25mm - but dwarfed by the 40k flyers.

There is a RESIN dropship/interface shuttle By Daemonscape that is available (about the same length as a valk) it's just scaled for a slightly smaller figure (as it was a GZG model, and they do closer to true 25mm).

Otherwise, TOY shuttles and dropships for the 3 1/2" action figure lines can be used (You WILL have to alter the canopy/cockpit area).

Like this GI Joe Cobra attack shuttle model. Some plasticard on the canopy rescaled it for 28mm.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

Yeah, I kick myself for never getting the Sigma Six vehicles. They were all surprisingly nice. That Cobra Gunship goes for a surprisingly high amount now too, considering how much the thing pegwarmed around here. I think that's the first time I've seen one in use with 28mm figures. I have to say, it does look good and it's probably just about the right size and style for what I'm looking for, other than lacking proper wings.

there's also plasticard, patience, and a lot of elbow grease.
And headlight fluid.
You can never have enough headlight fluid.

Angry Badger has a very nice MDF and resin dropship in the appropriate scale. You can read more about it here.

I have thought about converting a CV-22 Osprey model by replacing the turboprops with Devilfhish engines to make an alternative Valk. Never had the time though.
