Am I to understand that the Airbursting Fragmentation Projector is a barrage weapon?

This might be a poor interpretation of rules but that?s why I?m asking this here.

 

The AFP is a ?G18? Assault 1 weapon. 

At first I thought this was a typo so I looked on pg 31 of BGB, which is the only mention of ?G? weapons I could find.

 

If that is correct, the commander?s higher BS is useless when using this weapon, please tell me that I am wrong here and this thing isn?t totally useless.

This is why you don't give it to the Shas'o and give it to a BS 3 Shasv're instead. Good gaming!
