is there anything I can change in this list to make it more effective or deadly to my opponents?

Have you read the new Warp Hunter rules? Very different from before.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

The only rules I am aware of are in the IA 11.

I just looked and I could not find anything on the forge world FAQ that indicates any changes to the warphunter.

They just released the new FW book with a lot of updated units including the Warp Hunter. It is now Heavy3 blast S7 AP3. Check the FW site for the new release book.

The Astropath doesn't affect the Eldar Reserve Rolls, you migh tbe better off with a Comms relay on the Aegis.

thank you for clarifying this as i have been playing this incorrectly for a long time as I was not able to find anything that indicated otherwise.

I will propose an updated list in the near future once I figure out the poitns costs.

do you recall any of the other rules that changed other than the strenght and type of shot this tank fires?

Have the points changed? And stats?

I have ordered the apoc book in light of your post but am eager to see if the warp hunter is still a viable tank or not?

I think you are getting mixed up with another tank, as even Forge World's site says the most up to date rules for the Warp Hunter are in IA11.

As it turns out, it uses the IA11 rules at the moment, but there's a new book out Saturday that have the new rules mentioned above, so unfortunately it has been nerfed. Apologies for correcting you Sarigar.

Might i suggest that if your running the comms relay now due to astropaths not working on the Eldar, you might consider dropping the CCS for the AMAZINGLY effective primaris psyker? Just his standard powers are marvelous. Old style you cannot shoot us because were shrouded rules power that hasnt been FAQ'd and the amazing 2d6 strength 6 hits lightning arc making him a steal at 70 points. And he comes with a force weapon and has some pretty decent stats to go with it.
