This is a list I have been toying with. The basic elements of this list are MC circus and nurgle primary. I wanted to see if there were any interesting ideas on how to optimize the list (probably going to be get real troops) or just interesting advice.

HQ
Great Unclean One (290pts)
Greater Reward, Exalted Daemonic Reward (grimoire), Psyker Level 3
Notes: 3x biomancy until I get iron arm then I might roll a plague power, so 50% chance for iron arm per game because who needs primaris.

Kairos Fateweaver (300pts)
Notes: My warlord (like every daemon player since the book dropped), he gives a reroll on the warpstorm table and a free reroll each turn (usually gets used on the grimoire or a grounding test), usually has a 2++ reroll 1's, has a wide range of good psychic powers and in general causes opponents grief. Kairos' job with the GUO is to dictate the opponents movements as he will end up leading them into "turtling" and against daemons that is usually not where they want to be.

Troops (90pts)
Nurglings (45pts)
3x Nurglings (45pts)

Nurglings (45pts)
3x Nurglings (45pts)
Notes: these are usually kept in the battlements of my fortifications for a 2+++. They can be DS if you fear giving away the first blood. I have had good luck keeping them in the board corners near the objectives I place. They are so short you need barrage weapons to even target them behind a fortification wall

Heavy Support (995pts)
Daemon Prince (Heavy) (315pts)
Greater Reward, Daemonic Flight, Warp-forged Armour, Daemon of Nurgle, Psyker Level 3
Notes: roll 2x biomancy and roll plague to try getting plague wind otherwise take the primaris (poison 4+ template AP3) which is pretty good at getting kills

Daemon Prince (Heavy) (335pts)
2x Greater Rewards, Daemonic Flight, Warp-forged Armour, Daemon of Nurgle, Psyker Level 3
Notes: roll 2x biomancy and roll plague to try getting plague wind otherwise take the primaris (poison 4+ template AP3) which is pretty good at getting kills

Daemon Prince (Heavy) (345pts)
Greater Reward, Exalted Daemonic Reward (portaglyph), Daemonic Flight, Warp-forged Armour, Daemon of Nurgle, Psyker Level 3
Notes: the portaglyph usually provides me extra plaguebearers for objectives or pink horrors to help kill stuff. If it is KP I will sometimes not use it so you can't get the extra KP

Vengeance Weapons Battery (170pts)
2x Sentry Defence System w/ Battle Cannon
Notes: great for putting near objectives or the relic and protecting my portaglyph and nurglings. Contributes 2 S8 AP3 large blasts to the fight and the blasts don't hurt the FMC as long as they stay in the air. It helps to tempt the opponent to spread out which means they have a harder time to maneuver.

If anyone doesn't like Tzeentch and Nurgle working together then you should note that the GUO is taunting Kairos 1/3 the time and Kairos gets a pithy reply in 2/9 of the time.

Interesting list, but what Fortification are the nurgling in? You can't be in a Vengeance weapon I believe. Even then, a few FMCs and unreliable small troops isnt that scary. And yeah, real troops would help, a lot. I also really dont like the GUO in this, he's just so... SLOW in an army made up of fast units. Plus, this should be in tactics.

you better hide those nurglings well, otherwise your not gonna win any objective game.

Nurglings can't score. Swarms. So yeah, I have no idea what your plan is... The portaglyph isn't enough

Why not take a LOC instead, his another FMC and cheaper, so you can take more upgrades

Wow, that was fail of me. Could a mod be so kind as to move this to 40K Army Lists?

@anonymou5
I can't believe I never noticed this before. You are correct and I don't have scoring units. Glad I never tried this list in a competitive game so far.

@jifel
I had kept them behind in the building which completely blocks line of sight. Since they are not scoring I guess it doesn't make a lot of difference now as I will need to replace them.

The GUO has been my grimoire caddy as he is very tough to kill for most lists (even more so if I get iron arm and/or a decent save from greater rewards). The 24" range on the grimoire is usually enough to keep it on kairos (starting the GUO in the middle of the board). Kairos doesn't need to be in the corners of the board as he is usually trying the "corner" the opponent. The GUO has been nice for drawing fire and tarpitting and grinding down big agressive units that like to try getting into your deployment zone. I do agree he is probably the second least optimized part of my list (other than having no scoring troops...)

@Marthike
LoC is a good value for the price but loosing the reroll per turn, all those psychic powers, and the reroll warp storm warlord power is just hurtful. He is a bit like a flying GUO but I need a nurgle greater daemon in the HQ slot to get the nurgle DPs in the HS slots.

BTW does anyone have any idea what nurgling are even for in the current dex? I thought cheap scoring but apparently not even contesting.

Fateweaver gets a reroll per player turn so you can use it on the grimoire AND the grounding test.
