Got together this past Saturday for my first game of
apoc using the new rules.
Necrons:
Whole bunch of warriors, BUNCH of tomb blades, Transcendent C'tan, Tesseract Vault, 3 Pylons and like 6 sentry pylons.
Assets: Precise coordinates, Blind Barrage
Chaos:
Reaver Titan, Warhound titan, Zarakynel, noisemarines, cultist formation, assorted vehicles, 3 chaos daemons princes
Grey Knights:
Broherhood Dread Knight formation, 2 terminator squads, like 5 independent characters and Draigo, 4 strike squads, 8 razorbacks, firestorm redoubt
Assets: Precise Coordinates, Daemonic Allies
We got the Exterminatus Mission, which made everything on the board fearless and have hatred. And we got the long table deployment style, so we had pretty deep zones.
Things went fine until the necron pylons showed up (their first turn...) and blew up the reaver. The rest was downhill from there.
We continued through turn 4 but then it was pretty much over. Necrons won solidly, with their special toys making mincemeat out of us. All of our big things were handled in short order, and the rest of our forced couldn't contend with things like their sentry pylons, fliers, or even the few squads of wraiths wandering about.
