So, I'm headed out to GenCon this week and I'll be there on Friday and Saturday. I won't be at a dealer booth, I'll be running demos and a special Gang War event in the Game Salute gaming area in Hall E. If the printer isn't too slow I should have a big sign right by where I'll be.

I believe all of the demo events and the gang war are sold out, but if space permits I might be able to set up a couple of extra demo boards. You have to have a ticket to play though cuz of screwy con rules. So any $2 generic ticket will work, or you can also use a ticket for another event you decided not to go to I think, however people that actually signed up for the demo and gang war events get first dibs.

Weather you come to play or not feel free to stop by and say hi Also, all original BWG models and the rulebook will be for sale at the Game Salute dealer booth #1735. We can't sell any of the new models until all of the Kickstarter orders go out, so they won't be available at the con unfortunately. I'll also have a handful of the new blue colt 45 dice for demos if you want to see em they came out real nice.

Here's some pics I took

Demos on day 1. A dad and his 2 kids and 1 other guy. I was surprised .. there were quite a few kids playing the demos and they were all really into it..

This was the gang war event.. same dad and 2 kids from before came back for more.

And this was the tables for day 2 before the onslaught

And this was from where I was standing, waiting for them to open the dealer hall.. this was around 9:30 AM. Someone was yelling something about forming a single file line. For reals???

Great to see kids (and dad) getting into the game. The family that games together, well, games together.

I was surprised to see so many kids playing and enjoying the game. I thought they'd all just want to play 40k and pokemon, not a game about cowboys

Kids always love cowboys

Also I'm very sad you I didn't get a chance to try your game or meet you. I was stuck at OTL's booth all week

I'm trying my best to save up a bit so I can have a real booth next year, probably my own little section of Game Salute's booth so it will be easier. I was looking at fold-up poker tables to use for the booth demo table A little pricy but it would fit the theme, and I don't need a huge board to show people how to shoot each other.

Blind Ferret Entertainment had a quality looking poker table at their booth and that was so they could advertise a card game... I think a poker table would fit in nicely.

I need something that can fold up and transport in a car easily. I've seen some but I'm a little worried about stability with the fold up kind. And most are 50+ inches across and just fold in half. I actually emailed Geek Chic to see if they could build something custom, in case I happen to win the powerball...

Take a look at EZ-Up's pop up tables, it's what we use. 2'x2'x40+" table that collapses into a duffle-ish bag (about 36"x6"x6")

A little pricy at $140ea, but well worth it for the ease of transportation and being the right size.

Yup, these things are fantastic:

Booth teardown goes so easily thanks to these.

Oo.. I like that. Are they like pub height or normal height or adjustable? I like how you can stack em and make shelves.

I was looking at this, because it's wood for the westerny theme and comes with stools
http://www.amazon.com/Winsome-Wood-Table-Square-Natural/dp/B000NPTWHY/

It folds up nice, but it's not too compact and it's kinda heavy.

oh .. are those fold up tables sturdy enough for a hulking gamer to lean on without it falling apart?

They have adjustable legs that can be... 3 different heights? It basically works out that they work at chair level or standing level without too much trouble. They're sturdy enough that someone could lean on them, but if you've got a 2x2 demo board there will be no leaning the three demo boards we have are just a smidge larger than the tables so no one can lean on them.

Yeah, they are nice and sturdy, I've sat on it before.

Here is where we get them from:
http://www.cheapjoes.com/e-z-up-instant-table-system-2-x-2.html

http://www.cheapjoes.com/e-z-up-instant-table-system-2-x-4.html

You can often find 10~15% off coupons for the site and free shipping at $300. We've got 4 of the 2'x2' and 1 of the 2'x4' now.

Cool I'll probably go with 2 of them to start.. 2x2 is the size I do for demos, should fit 4 secret weapon tiles just right

I've been using ROB board tiles .. they work ok but I think the 1x1 SW tiles will work a lot better for transporting and stuff.

They fit just right, we had 4 on display at GenCon I don't have any photos, but Cyp might.

Yeah, we were previously using the ROB tiles, but Secret Weapon's are sooooooooooo much easier to transport. I bought enough tiles to easily run a small tournament for Brushfire.

I don't seem to have a picture of the tablescapes on one of the tables, but here is how our Gencon booth looked with the other boards.

Cool, yeah I think I'll just go with them.. still curious to see how much a custom Geek Chic folding poker table would cost. I could always sell a kidney...

thinking I might only really need 1 if I'm going to get in on the Game Salute booth in my own little corner, but I'd like to get 2 if I can find volunteers to help out with demos. I'd like to have 1 table going with the skirmish game and the other going with the adventure game even if it's just a prototype and not released yet. And maybe one of those ikea glass cases everyone uses for displaying minis
