Hi all,
I am a Tau player who has been collecting for a while now, but I have never really gotten around to actually playing a game until now. I am playing a big 3 vs 3 9000 point battle, so I need 3000 pts (which, after checking with my codex, I should have), and I am versing one Dark Angels player with lots of termies (with chainfists) and a razorback and two IG players with a combined 7 Leman Russ, 3 Valkyries, a few chimeras, a hellhound, 4 basilisks, 2 baneblades and one shadowsword. My allies are necrons and chaos.

I have 42 fire warriors (6 w/ carbines), one fireblade, shadowsun and her command-uplink drone, 26 kroot carnivores, 2 shapers (one w/ pulse rifle), 4 krootoxes, 2 ethereals, 1 kroot hound, 12 stealth suits, 3 sniper drones with a spotter, 5 pathfinders w/ carbine and markerlight, 4 pathfinders w/railrifles, 5 vespids and a strain leader, 2 broadsides (old models), 7 crisis suits, 2 devilfish, a skyray, one railgun hammerhead and one ion cannon hammerhead (I have the parts to change either hammerhead). I also have 2 marker drones and a lot of gun drones. Any army list suggestions would be greatly appreciated (as well as any tips you have)! Thanks.

Okay, not quite at 3000 so you can add a little bit.

Tactics with this list - FB, FWs, Broadsides, Snipers, all the tanks, sit behind Aegis

Hold mostly everything else in reserve, possible infiltrating the Kroot into good spots

Then infiltrate/outflank the Stealth Suits so they are along your opponents edge, then use the Positional Relay to outflank the Suits with Shadowsun behind. Reroll 1s with that squad, and if they are in any sort of cover they will get a 2+ against return fire.

Drop in the other Crisis Suits, maybe even upgrade one of the Stealth's and throw on a homing beacon for them.

The commander and his Dakkacrew just throw out a lot of shots. Use the thing that lets you affect reserves to hold onto your DF FW as long as possible then come on late to grab an objective.

Hope that helps. Its not cut throat, but it uses most of what you have! If you don't want to get the Aegis, just add drones random places to make up points. Whatever you do don't just add upgrades to make up points, you want as many bodies as possible! With 9k points a side bodies will be falling left and right.
