Just finished a stormtalon for my diy chapter the Sanguine Guard. Think Blood Ravens colours with Blood Angel markings.

What do we think?

Good job! I'd suggest doing something to the boltgun parts though, like the assault cannons. I like the scheme!

Thanks, the boltgun parts? Sorry not sure what you mean?

This was a lot of firsts for, largest model so far, the canopy, trying thr light weathering and washing, always dipped before now.

Nice and clean job, but the weapons and exhausts do stick out as being a bit bare.

Perhaps a darker wash of the metallics is in order?

Even though the Sanguine Guard are a BA sucessor they prefer the power of cold lead and the ranged fight, so I use the standard codex for them

Looks good! I would suggest another wash of nun oil on the metal parts then a light dry brush of a light silver. Like the weathering effects you have on the wings how you achieved them?

Thank you, the weathering was just black paint and a small GW dry brush. Dry brush technique getting progressively lighter the further back.

Another wash it is, thanks!

Looks very good.

I agree about the metal areas - another wash all over then dry rush with some Chainmail (or whatever the new equivalent is called) to highlight and give it all some depth. You could also weather the back of the engines with some black as you have done on the wings.

I dig the nice deep red, how did you achieve it? Did you edge highlight all the panels? That must've taken ages!

Personally I think the base could do with some larger items of debris to break up the flat areas but that's a minor point.

Good job!

What unit do you plan next?
