As per subject really, about to change my regular online supplier due to huge delays and waiting times
Anyone suffered any real issues with delivery times etc using Dark Sphere? I am also interested in regular orders as my last supplier was really good to start with then service gradually went downhil, I don't want to end up in the same situation again.

Never had an issue, but prob not placed a GW order with them since last year

S'ok. I didn't for a second think anything different. Kan, being in Murica, probably didn't realise that Dark Sphere are a retailer and not a distributor.

The same caveat remains as does on all these "how good are..." threads though, it looks suspiciously like GW are jerking their indys about when it comes to supply of new product recently, and that would be outside of any retailers control, no matter how good.

For items that are in stock, or non GW products, they are comfortably as good as anyone, and the first place I go to for GW stuff, and are on a par for non-GW with Troll Trader and Wayland, albeit they don't always quite have the depth of range of those two.

Thanks for the info azreal13, just cant be dealing with total wargamer anymore, I should have to spend forever chasing up companies (with no communications, or standard template emails in reply to questions) for things that are paid for, especially when the money is taken straight away.....
It's a shame as they used to be really good, now its almost painfull :-(

There have been a lot of reports that GW have been playing 'hard to get' with independent retailers recently. Dark Sphere have got as good a rep as anywhere I have heard of, but these days I think it would definitely pay to make a phone call or send an email to check physical stock levels before ordering.

There is also an issue with pre-release orders - again reports that indies have ordered in x amount, have been told they are going to get them, then the allotted amount don't show up resulting in angry customers. So I guess in that sense ordering early is probably advisable (as most places will operate first come, first serve) - of course you can go direct, and pay the extra 20% or whatever, but in my opinion that would be condoning what I think to be deliberate behaviour on GW's part concerning their belligerent policy towards the 'little guy' of smaller independents struggling to survive in what is already a tough climate for retailers.

I've ordered a bunch of GW stuff from them recently and had no problems, everything turned up within 3-4 days (cheapest postal option).

They're a good place, any problems will be their supplier (GW) and not caused by them. I've seen several threads recently asking about the service of Dark Sphere, and I have to say it's excellent every time and run by genuinely decent people.

Darksphere is definitely reliable. If there are any issues with stock not getting in quickly, it'll be GW that does it.

THey're our No 1 supplier; tried Wayland Games, Dark Sphere are far more reliable, easy to contact - and as mentioned, good people.

I saw the Eldar releases come in the weekend they were due, and when they say an item's in stock - you can believe it's in stock.

Thanks for all the replies, I know GW have messed independent suppliers about, but maybe indies (in this case total wargamer) should let the customers know that this is the case rather then a blackout of info/communication etc.....

Placed an order with them so I'll update when it arrives. The only thing that could make them better for me so far is if they had more companies.

I had to wait three weeks once for an order of GW stuff from them, I use Gifts for geeks now.

Everything about Dark Sphere has been exemplary for me. They are awesome

Really cool little shop as well if you ever get a chance to visit.. real little Aladdin's den with an absolute ton of varied games, I could literally spend hours in there. And in sight of the London Eye and all of the other London touristy stuff if you fancy doing that kind of thing

I think its pretty much the same as all GW stockists, make sure they have what you want in stock and you wont have to wait.

My order arrived today, so I'll defiantly be buying from them again.
