Hi all I'm planning on starting a vampire counts army however I can't stand the one unnamed lord that GW makes. If anyone could help me find more options that would be great!

Gathering the Informations.

I'm using the plastic Chaos Lord as the basis for a conversion, as there just are not that many options which really look okay with the current range.

There are the old metal "Bloodline" Vampire Lords(Blood Dragon, Necrarchs, Strigoi, and Von Carstein) but they look wildly out of scale compared to the skeletons and Grave Guard now.

First address for alternatives is Reaper and Avatars of War.
Titan Forge has a complete Orc Vampire army.

I have to second what Kroothawk said.

Avatars of War have some amazing character models. There's a couple of pretty sweet options from Reaper as well.

If you get a terrorgheist kit, then use the bits from that kit to make a lord. With one hobby knife cut, and a very minimal amount of green stuff, you can really easily take the saddle dragon legs and turn them into a wide standing combat stance.

This is what i did with mine, and i used the sword and shield and bare head, and i get compliments on it everytime i take him out.

I also use a mildly converted lilith hesperix model as a hero vamp.

Avatars of war has some great models that can work as vamps.

I mean, it's Dakka. I thought snide arguments from emotion were what we did here.
