Hello Dakka Dakka users

I have been off the forums and not doing much hobby related stuff for sometime now and I thought it was about time I got painting again! Sadly I have been to busy with school work, PC gaming, drawing, anime, watching PewDiePie... and so on. I consider this to be my revival into the hobby after a long time of stagnation. I hope that I won't drop out of sync anytime soon again. This thread also marks my 1000th Post on the forums WOooo!

So basically about 4 weeks ago I picked up some Tomb King skeletons, (tomb kings being my second choice of Fantasy armies) I enjoyed them and informed my younger brother that I was thinking of getting what I think is one of the coolest models GW make, the Necrosphinx. A week later on the 14th my 18th birthday comes around and my little Bro got me the Necrosphinx I wanted!

I got straight to working on it and here are the resalts after about 2 weeks of painting. I use a speed painting style so they are not perfect put are table top ready. I had fun painting them and I hope you enjoy them.

After uploading this did I notice that my Tomb King's arm guards have not been painted so I am going to finish those some time soon.
One of my favorite parts of this hobby is to kit bash. So by making my skeleton archers into a formation of 15, (5x3) I had 1 extra skeleton to make my Tomb Herald. I used a cloak from my wood elves and the banner from the Warsphinx set.

And now one model that I had the most fun painting out of every model I have ever painted, ladies and Gents. My Ruby Necrosphinx.

Label me amazed, you really nailed the look and feel of the Necrosphinx, between the ruby red body and the steel grey of the wings and torso.

It's a nice, refreshing take on Tomb Kings, especially the Necrosphinx, which is usually displayed in a bland and archetypal bright gold colour, which people decide doesn't need highlights 'because it's metal'

Please familiarize yourself with the sticky at the top of each section before posting. For instance, in Showcase, you would see we require finished bases.

Please feel free to either copy your first post and make a Painting and Modelling thread, or P&M blog if this is an ongoing project. Or, you can re-post here in Showcase when the models are 100% complete.

Thank you -
