I've really been enjoying these battle reports.

The video for deployment was fine. If it saves you a lot of time, I say continue to do it.

Current Record: 5 Wins, 6 Draws, 3 Losses 2000 points

In Progress: 500 points

I enjoyed the batrep and if you save time I do not mind the video section.

I do have a question though. I thought the DE had deployed outside of the vehicles so how did they get across the board so quickly? They can't flat out if passengers embarked that turn. Or so I thought, maybe they weren't as far apart as it looked...

that is a great question and it comes up a ton.

If you plan to or have embarked or disembarked you may not tank shock or ram.

If you plan to or go flat out passengers may not shoot.

Those are the restrictions. It was a great game he was on top of me turn 2.

if passengers embark you cant go flat out. Its fine to disembark and flat out but not vice versa. It's stupid but thats how it works.

Can you site the page that is on for us, we have looked it up several times and never found it, but you know how GW organizes rules, it could be anywhere.

Red I believe I found your point of confusion. page 78 under Embarking it says if the vehicle moved BEFORE passengers embark it may not move any more including going flat out. The Dark Eldar player embarked before vehicle movement and would be allowed to move as normal per the second to last section of that statement, it does not prohibit flat out if you get on before the vehicle moves.

Ah I think you may be right. Thank you for pointing this out. Though the semantics of that rule are utterly idiotic IMHO.

Yes GW leaves plenty of room for improvement in their rules writing.
