Probably not going to be that competetive, but, could be alot of fun to play.

Allied wolves with drop jaws would kick this up a notch. And I think it would indeed be competitive.

Ive played a similar list.. However the new dex changes some things for Salamanders.

Chapter Tactics.

First off is Master crafted. It feels wrong not to take advantage of that ability. So Sgts in my opinion should have some sort of weapon worth master crafting. Drop pods get close so i would consider getting either a combi grav or even better a grav pistol.

Meltas.

Well this edition is pretty light on vehicals so im not sure how much value i would put into alot of them. Flamers however get a considerable boost with the flamecraft ability. It makes heavy flamers all the more better. Personally i would take as many i could get. The biggest flaw of the Iron clad is not focusing on its job. I like to load my Iron clads with the HF's and let them drop right in front of the enemy. Burn guys in cover or behind agis lines. They have the armour to survive intercepts and should last a turn or 2. Your enemy absolutly has to deal with them. And 3-4 in there face can remove full squads if you run a duel flamer thats twin linked. A melta on them in 5th was good. However this edition is light on meaningful vehicals.

Sternguard.

These guys are your MC killers use there poisoned round to kill them. Add in some Melta and grav for flavor and dont forget a weapon for the sgt.

your paying a tax to move the dreads into heavy slot.. but thats ok.

Iron clads
3 good i would save points and go a basic melta/flamer loadout for the 4th. pop a tank if needed
