So at the moment I've got the following in my Daemons of Chaos army:

The Masque of Slanneh
1 Herald of Slannesh
1 Herald of Slannesh on mount (conv)
1 Herald of Khorne (conv)
1 Karanak
1 Keeper of Secrets

30 Daemonettes (2 champion, 2 standard, 2 musician)
10 Bloodletters of Khorne (1 champion, 1 standard, 1 musician)

3 Bloodcrushers of Khorne
3 Flamers of Tzeentch
10 Seekers of Slaanesh (1 champion, 1 standard, 1 musician)
5 'pleasure' Seekers of Slaanesh (old style models)
7 Fiends of Slaanesh
1 Seeker Chariot of Slaanesh
14 Flesh Hounds

2 Skull Cannon of Khorne
1 Hellflayer of Slaanesh
1 Soul Grinder

And its time to expand the collection, but I'm not quite sure at this point where to or what to expand upon. I've not had a vast number of games thus far and I'm aware that a few options that I do have need bulking up, at the same time there is the temptation of "ooh new shiny thing". I know what I should focus on is adding more troops; Daemons of Slaanesh want to work in larger numbers and my Bloodletters are very few in number - plus adding more warriors means I can put more down and thus play at high point level games.

That said troops discourage me - so many mould lines on little parts that take ages to put together..... So whilst I know I should, I'm also looking to expand in other ways. This is a general expansion plan so I certainly won't be getting everything upgraded all at once.

At the moment I'm thinking:

Ranged boost:
Chariots of Tzeentch - whilst warpfire is a double edged sword in that it can end up giving regeneration it does at least let me potentially put another gun down onto the table to compliment the grinder and cannon that I've already got. It's a risky model and with two rounds of gambling the dice in a shot it could be one of those things that looks neat, but in the real world backfires one too many times to really make it worth taking that rare slot for.

Flamers of Tzeentch - again another ranged unit to add to the force, however suffering the same problems as the chariot; I've also generally read that whilst everyone used to like them; in the current codex flamers are not that popular and indeed are viewed as being quite significantly underpowered.

This rather iffy nature of the two flamer units means that I'm half in mind of if they are worth adding to the collection at all in their current state.

That leaves the last thing for raged being adding another Soul Grinder which would seem to be the sane choice to make; though I'm all ears to hear cases for taking one of the other ranged options.

Squad bolstering:
Fiends of Slaanesh could be bolstered up to a good 9 models, maybe a few more on top of that (though I'm not sure if unless I ran mono slaanesh if I'd be using more than 9 at a time unless playing a very big battle).

Hounds of Khorne I've a feeling I could boost these up to a solid 30 units and still have a viable option in them; especially when they are upgraded to ambush appear onto the table. Expensive to double their number, but unless I hear a strong case against increasing their numbers its likely a path I'll take with them.

Blood Crushers; only got a handful of these at present and I'd really like to bulk them up to a 6 beast strong unit. From there I'm not sure if I'd want or need to increase them further beyond that point or not.

Slaanesh Chariots; not sure about these, fast certainly but not a massive hit when they do strike, but adding another hellflayer and an exaulted chariot might be worth doing; it would certainly leave the field open for building a very fast hitting force.

Seekers - at 15 units I think I've reached a good number with them for a time and don't need to expand further unless I want to go with a stronger seeker themed force.

Other:
Screamers of Tzeentch - not sure about these guys as I don't hear too much chatter about them. I've a feeling that that ranks them as a decent choice; not bad enough nor good enough to gain special comment.

Lords/Heroes
Kairos Fateweaver granted I'm mostly Khorne and Slaanesh and Kairos is not cheap in points, but I do like the model and his magical rules as a mage with a lot of spells to potentially choose from and make use of. Not something to add soon, but certainly one for the future.

Daemon Princes; I almost feel this deserves its own thread since they can follow any one god and thus the question becomes not just adding a prince but also what god(s) are best to take (based upon own stats and also the armies overall composition). They are a nice big monster for not too much in points (compared to the other heroes) to put on the table and likely very worth while in having a few join the army.

So that's my general view; at the moment I'm not really sure where to jump on expanding those described options first or even if those aspirations are the best choices to make. Any input in this would be greatly appreciated (just don't mention troops -- please please please ). I'm also avoiding Nurgle at present, not that I hate the guy, but whilst I recognise that many nurgle units have got very good stats I'm just not a fan of them (I'll likely get some beasts at some point- who doesn't want some plague ridden doggies running over the battle field licking and jumping up at people )
