There migth be another problem with the stealth suit

"one in three models may replace their burst cannon with a fusion blaster"

If the all the stealth suit have a drone controller with 2 drone, does  this means that every stealth suit can be upgrade because they are 1 in 3 model in the unit?. :S

It depends how you interpret it.

On one hand, a literal reading could be as you say above.

On the other hand, I would argue that the phrase indicates that one in three models who have a burst cannon may replace it with a blaster.

Someone round here is a professor of English. His take on it would be worth having.

If that's the wording in the Codex, it seems fairly obvious.

If drones had Burst Cannons there might be confusion on this issue. But since they have no Burst Cannons to upgrade, it's not a problem.

It doesn't say that though. If the RAW rule is "one in three models may replace their bust cannon with a fusion blaster" then yeah, you could by that rule alone replace all three models in a 9 model unit w/ drones. If I have a unit of 9 models, and 3 of those models have burst cannons, then what part of that rule would prevent me from replacing all 3 of my burst cannons with fusion blasters?

However, there are other factors to consider though. The main question to me is, does "models" in the context of the wording refer specifically to the *unit as a whole* or the *stealth suits*. I don't have the new Tau Codex but I would think that if the rule is under the Stealth Suits section, that it would only be referring to the Stealth Suits and not other optional models.

I definately think the intent of the rule is to say "one in three stealth suits per unit may exchange their burst cannons with fusion blasters" but that isn't what is actually written.

This comes down to interpretation of language. Suppose I invite 11 of you to visit my flat. There are three parking spaces in the forecourt. I tell you all, "Three of you can park in front." Does that include the people who didn't come by car?

Also, it say one in three may replace their burst cannons with fusion blasters. The implication is obvious it is not talking about drones.
