Any idea or timeline on when we can expect to see tanks for the corperation faction. They have tanks in their army list; of which are basicly all the IG tanks from 40k and can be used as such until said tanks are released.

Not until after Deadzone, Mars Attacks and KoW 2.0 Kickstarters have shipped.

I would estimate 2015 and a Warpath KS next summer possibly.

Wow... that's a long wait. Well considering, I've bought mantic corperation infantry already, ill just keep buying IG tanks to use the army for both warpath and a cheaply built IG army for 40k

I heartily recommend www.antenocitisworkshop.com for excellent sci fi vehicles. Got about a dozen of them

Definitely agree re. the Antenociti tanks .. this one in particular I think suits the character of the Corporation troopers perfectly, and could be used as a Chimera.

Antenociti are supposed to be doing a Kickstarter at some point soon - might be an ideal time to buy in bulk when they do!

I'm gonna wait for the Warpath KS and hope to hell Mantic starts firing on all cylinders with it.

I have 100 corp infantry to keep me amused until them.

I wouldn't be surprised if they partnered with AW for vehicles... they did for AW's excellent resin terrain for Deadzone

THAT would not only make for some really nice vehicles, but it would also practically ensure that there would be no 'material issues' eitehr.

Unless 'real' resin is an issue for anyone, of course!

Hard plastic is the plan from what I've heard. It has been on the drawing board for a very, very long time and the concept art was first shown about 18 months ago, and there's a BoW vid of Ronnie talking about his plans for it.

Deadzone terrain is the test bed for making huge sprues (12" x 6").. once they're happy that they've got that production process sorted, they can apply it to affordable hard plastic vehicles.

You could easily fit a vehicle on to 2 of the large DZ terrain sprues, and mantic was selling those at 4 for $25.

So, it's entirely possible that a Warpath KS might have $15 tanks for sale (if not individually, as part of bundles). I will be going in big and getting dozens of the things.

As for current vehicles, there's a ton of them that you can use:

- Secret Weapon Assault Vehicle (has all the weapon types to cover every vehicle in the corp list).
- Pig Iron Tanks
- Ramshackle Games Tanks.
- Old Crow Tanks.

They're all typically in the £20-£30 range as far as pricing though, so it's more a case of buying them to get a non-GW style rather than non-GW pricing.

@SS, I highly recommend that you get some of the mantic zombie/ghoul sprues and make at least a few of those into z-corp/zombie apokolypse conversions, its so fun! Or even use the newer deadzone zombies, though those may be pretty cool on their own...

I also feel that if they offer 15-20$ plastic tanks in a future warpath kickstarter... I'll be all over them.

If you're after some nice, and very reasonably-priced tanks (or planes, or choppers) NOW (instead of in 2 years time) there's these:

The quality is good. I've picked up three Challengers to use in various sci-fi games for less than the price of one Leman Russ tank at US rates, or slighly over half the price of a Russ in AU$ terms.

Academy are a relative newcomer to the Plastic kit market compared to some, but I think pretty good quality. They're a Korean company and trying to make a reputation for themselves and such are priced very competitively, quality/detail wise those tanks will be equivalent to Tamiya kit or similar, certainly better than the Leman Russ.

if you can get ahold of the Kitech or Zhengdefu (same company) 1/48 French Leclerc or Japanese Type 90 tanks, they are unknown enough that they can easily be used or slightly modified for sci-fi use. That's what I've been using, personally...

lemme check

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kitech-ZhengDefu-526-1-48-French-Leclerc-Main-Tanque-Tank-Char-AMX-56-/360417176817

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kitech-ZhengDefu-525-1-48-Japanese-Type-90-Main-Battle-Tanque-Tank-Char-/250951643234?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3a6de23062

the kits are kinda crappy quality but $15 with FREE SHIPPING is pretty badass. they are "box scale" which means they are close to 1/48 but really, they are in scale to fit the sprue to fit the box. so they will not be the same dimensions as a more accurate Academy 1/48 kit. they are also "motorized" but it's much easier to just leave the motor out. rubber tracks, so easy to glue on the road wheels and then put the tracks on.

i've build about 20 of their kits and I can now get one assembled in like 10 minutes, haha.

Kitech / Zhengdefu also make other current-gen hardware that could be sci-fi-upgraded such as the Leopard 2, Marder, T-72, T-80, T-90, BTR, M1, Challenger 2, LAV-25, LAV-AT, Bradley, etc.

Those Chinese ones look good as well. My Korean Academy kits took about 18 days from payment to arrival. I can take some pics if anyone would like to see the sprues.

When I finally get off my lazy ass, I'll be using comic book boards to make my own tanks. I want them to look like SHIELD ATVs, as my Corporation models are painted like shield agents and my Enforcers got the Iron Man treatment. Expect flying craft to be Quinjets.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Balls. That's more high tech than I was originally planning. I'll post a pic tonight of what the aim is to build.

Sorry, I forgot all about this for ages. Remembered this weekend and took a ton of pics for you to check out.

There's a heap more pics on the blog if you're interested. Too many to reasonably post here without mangling the thread with tank spam.

That's an interesting option. Modern tanks look kind of wonky around 40k minis, I've been conditioned too much to expect old school ww2 ish stuff =/

You might find something like the M60 Patton in 1:48 more appropriate for 40k, or the slightly more expensive WW2 kits like the T-34 or German armour. I think this Challenger (or Leopard) would work very well with Warpath or alongside those Mars Attacks figures.

I prefer the 1/48 scale stuff myself, as it looks more realistic. Tanks being longer than they are wide or tall. Would fit in with Mars attacks, and with the right paint scheme or mods, Warpath.

I have seen the Kitech kits close up. They're really quite simple kits and not the best for fine detail, but they will work great for tabletop gaming.

The Merkava linked above
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Academy-Plastic-Model-Kit-1-48-Israeli-Main-Battle-Tank-Merkava-13005-/271143492191?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3f21695a5f
is a great kit that already has some rather futuristic lines.

I really like the one pictured above in the scale comparison which is it?

It's nice to see the cheap academy and Kitch kits back. For a while I wasn't seeing them for sale much.

Really though, my favorite tanks are the Pig Iron. I had an Ironsides for a while and it's a great model. It's now part of my buddies Pig Iron merc company.
